aggghhhh, just remembered all the possible pokemon!!!! and if a video game made as an adaptation counts then i am having some bleach characters (seriously you couldnt get any more over powered) i'd have any of these: rayquaza, Sosuke Aizen, Ichimaru Gin, CHAD, GENGAR, and finally uryu. (most of them have long range attacks, up to 13km sword!!!)

one doesnt use ammo, one has regenerating shields, one infinitely powered blaster.

so yeah ill be the guy looking for food and such while these 3 take care of the zombies

First I'd like to say I envy you for having gotten to see survival of the dead, I won't get to see it until I get out of college for the summer.

As for the three characters, easily Laharal, Mao, and Sapphire from Disgaea's 1 and 3, because they can become stronger than any other video game character in existance, and they're all brutal (Laharal will do anything for power, Mao loves to experiment, and Sapphire just enjoys finding creative ways to kill things). With this group, as long as I never stole the spotlight for too long or perked Mao's interests, I would be safe regardless of what happened.

I'd hafta pick: 1) NAthan Drake, because he has an insane ability to stumble retardedly out of every situation ;P
2) I'd need a pokemon, so probably Feraligatr. It's big, burly and has tough skin, so she could just bash her way through a hoarde whilst I sit up top.
3)Alex Mercer, provided he didn't just eat my face, he'd be a total zombie killing machine, plus he can't become a zombie, because he's already a virus thingy

Dante (He's got experience with this sort of thing, plus unlimited ammo) from Devil may cry, the Prince from Prince of Persia sands of time (Time rewinding is handy, plus he wall runs) and Solid Snake (He's a stealth Expert, meaning he'd be good at plotting how to get us passed without alerting the whole horde..plus he's destroyed walking battle mechs in the past, so i think he'd be good at fighting things to come his way if he has an M16 with him. And finally, cardboard box..nuff said)

gonna go old school with this one: Megaman X, cuase he's a robot/cyborg, so he can't get infected, AND he has unlimited ammo for his buster shot, and whatever extra weapons he has at the time will just be a bonus. Another good pick would be Alucard cuase he's alreaady a half vampire, so he can't get infected, and prior experiance dealing with the hordes of the undead really would help.

I think we all forget that when we see video game characters and they fight a horde of zombies, they tend to survive, sure, but what happens to EVERY ONE ELSE AROUND THEM? Master Chief kills a horde of flood, but did any other humans make it out of there? Frankly, I think I might be better off on my own.

That said, to answer the question and not be a jerk...

Darth Revan. Or possibly Commander Shepard, because he'd bring a team of badasses with him, so it's a nice package deal.

i say Elminster for the spell Edward Elric for transmutation and Al Elric couse he is a soul in armor no zombie in him that is for sure so he would just have to stand in the way of evrything comming at me:p
