Oh really? So You're telling me Stan Lee Copied Iron man directly out of a video game and made a multi-billion dollar comic franchise out of him, and didn't get sued?

There is a difference between BEING a video game character, and being a comic book/movie/tv show Character that APPEARS in a video game, or has a game made about them....

Tony Stark/Iron man is NOT a video game character. He may have been in a videogame but it doesnt constitute people calling him a videogame character.

Thats like someone going, "Super Mario? You mean the movie star?" You know since by your logic because Mario had a movie based on himself he automatically is classifed as a movie star.

so... you've systematically removed almost all game characters ever created, anime, cartoons, comics, tv, anime, etc. if not direct, most characters were inspired by these.
and continuing along with your logic, they have to begin as game characters, you do realize the number that started out as comics, story boards, scripts or even concept art, these are not game characters but the driving force behind them.

you can't start something like this and say that they must have started off as game characters, i wouldn't even be able to say the master chief as the first book was released a month before the 1st halo game

On what planet did I say "Characters inspired by other projects are not allowed"
The original DK game had Popeye the sailor man as its lead character it wasn't until later that popeye became mario.... Mario is still a video game character, Being a character based off inspiration =/= being the character you were inspired by....

As to your Halo Argument, you're just trying to start a flame war, the game was obviously thought up and made prior to the book just because the game was released a month after the novel doesn't change the fact that the book is a spin off of the game and not no vice versa....

Bringing up such trivial points as you have seems to me you're just aching to start a flame war or something....

Notice the difference people seem to be picking the most godly unstoppable anime/movie/comicbook characters just for the heck of it so they can be UNSTOPPABLE!!!! Missing the entire point of the originally intended topic, where I wanted to see some clever video game puns,nods, jokes...

Instead all I've gotten was people not reading the OP, Telling me how I'm wrong (even tho I made the question, and random insults for no reason.

Did I do anything to offend you? Or did you just feel the need to show you're an internet tough guy?

All and all, this topic still has tons of interesting posts. So I hope it stays open for a long long time, because new games are always coming out and people can add different parties and so on.
