Has something in gaming ever been repeated so much that it's become etched into your brain? Something that you're so used to that it becomes sort of a habit?

For me, I was so used to finding bobby pins in Fallout 3 to pick locks with that sometimes in real life I'll notice a couple of bobby pins sitting around and my first instinct is to pick them up so I can pick locks.

I keep missing the shuttlecock in badminton, this is due to a distinct lack of VATS mode.

I also find my skills regressing with time, if life had a proper leveling system in place, this wouldn't happen.

damn it

After playing AOEII for a while, or any RTS, I'll start seeing green bars over peoples head and wondering how in hell I'll be able to drag select them

After playing TF2 for hours I'll go to the bathroom and check behind myself for spies.

After I kill someone, I expect to see +10 appear.

Usually only police appear, though.

... No, actually. I'm good at seperating fantasy from reality.

When I dream, though, that's a completely different story.

I once woke up after a decent-length sleep to see my PC glowing with "use" stars like in World of Warcraft...

I also occasionally check round corners to make sure a spawn-camper isn't there, but I've so far managed to convince myself that it's a big joke that makes people around me laugh.

I feel like I should be able to jump higher.
ALso, when I was a little girl, I looked at a go-kart and began to plot how to take it, 'a la Elder Scrolls.

Then I realised what I was doing, and didn't play a video game for a week.

How old were you? That's a little disturbing...

I play my Xbox so much, I tend to hear the bleep-bloop noise in my daily life. It's fucking crazy.

Don't even get me started. The most common thing is when I hear a BBC broadcast in the background, I look around for Space Marines trying to kill me.
