Out of all the garbage CN has been pumping out to the appeal to "new culture" and be "hip and modern", Steven Universe was the only good thing. I think that it's a very good western take on the shoujo demographic at large. Say what you will about Clarence or Uncle Grandpa or that shitty thing with a boy and hit campy snake, but SU at least has a smidgen of art in it.

Not great, but not abysmal. I'll watch it when it's on, though, simply because of Garnet's hips the opening, which is the best part of anything ever.

Right now, I really hate CN. Really, really, hate, but shows like Symbiotic Titan and SU were at least a glimmer of light. Adventure Time was once on that list, but I've lost all motivation to keep up with it. I hope that, as one of the last decent kids' shows that appeal to both little boys (Garnet's hips Action, comedy, and Stephen and Amethyst) and little girls (Good female characters and PINK) this doesn't get the axe, because whether you like it or not, it deserves to exist.

CN, what are you doing.

Stop.

How could a show with such a crappy, simple art style get so deep into the uncanny valley? Oh, right, because the animators are shit and everything is shit.

You know Clarence is far from perfect but it does have some good parts in terms of characterzation and comedy, also a show where a character has two mothers cant be all bad

[small]It seems like CN has a huge thing for Teen Titans Go! and The Amazing World of Gumball. They must be really popular shows to have that much screen time every week.[/small]
I will admit, I like the Amazing World of Gumball with some of the humor, but damn is it eye-candy for those interested in animation with all the different animation styles there are. As for Teen Titans Go...still waiting for it to die.

OT: Everything I love gets axed from CN it seems. Megas XLR, Samuari Jack (I'd even take damn reruns), Symbiotic Titan, Young Justice (You DON'T tease Darkseid and then cancel a show dammit!), Green Lantern: The Animated Series (I despised Beware the Batman actually), all cut off the air. To make room for what? More Uncle Grandpa and more Johnny Test (although I believe it was finally cancelled). SU wasn't perfect, but @Story pretty much summarized why I love that show so much. I still like Adventure Time a bit, but I've not been following at much anymore. At least I still have Regular Show...

I won't really be sad to see it go but I'd rather them keep THAT on than stupid fuck-all Uncle Grandpa.

[sub]I've said it once and I'll say it again when I say I just watch TTG for the voice actors I love[/sub]

Good.

Any show that allows Garnet's hairstyle to exist without violent punishment is teaching children the wrong lessons.
That aliens have strange hair? Geez, nit-picker. This is literally the worst excuse I've ever heard.
Wrong.

That it's alright to have that kind of hair. I don't mean to sound intolerant, but anyone sporting that solid cuboid afro monstrosity should be hounded of towns by angry mobs.

They're aliens? I thought they were spirit creatures of some manner....

I don't really like Steven Universe, but it's a shame to hear it might get axed, considering there are a lot of people who do like the show. I won't watch the show to help keep it alive, but I hope it stays alive for the rest of you guys.

I'm not really scared of Steven's future and here are the reasons why

1- Scheduling, both At and RG ( poster boys for CN) barely air on the channel anymore and those shows aren't going anytime soon and SU is coming back on Feb 3
Actually, AT and RS (I assume you meant RS instead of 'RG') are on their 6th season (I believe). If Cartoon Network hasn't changed the policy that all their shows end at Season 7, then AT and RS will be ended by next year.

why are they cancelling this when they have legitimately bad shows like that garbage uncle grandpa? among several others of course. the only shows ive kept up with on CN is adventure time and regular show, but the rest of it isnt worth watching unless i want to lose brain cells.

SU was renewed back in July and another season is supposedly already in production: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/comic-con-cartoon-network-renews-721092

It is a bad sign that this week (3/10/15) they are burning off new episodes though...
