Prolly like Final Fantasy 7 or one of them, assuming i can change to like disk 2 and 3, it would be good like after you beat it to try other styles of winning, like no limit breaks, and trying to get the Knight of the Round Table Summon takes ages too.
Of course that is assuming a can change disc.

I think i would die... i can live being anti-social like that for ages, but one month? god that's like killer. I would say starcraft, either online or offline, i don't care.
That or a large scale RPG like oblivion or fallout 3.

Can't i just watch TV for a month.

What about Little Big Planet, Cause you could just play all the community made levels, some of which are pretty good.
Also with all that time on your hands you could probably make some pretty sweet levels.
hah yeah you could watch tv but that wouldnt realate at all to my question.
Yeah but then you could break one of my hands as well as my arms and legs

PC, my Steam account is loaded with stuff. If I get bored, there's always the internet :)
Cant do that. Its one GAME. It can be on the PC but its gotta be ONE game on the steam file, and the internet it outta the question unless you plan to play a flash game, or Advenure Quest for a month.
If one game works on my Steam, why don't the rest?

EDIT: And what if I spent my month somewhere like Kongregate?
NO no, you misinterpreted. All the games function and work, but you can only play one of em. Thats part of the challenge of choosing the game see?

And for Kongr......whatever the flash website is legal but all you can do is play ONE flash game and no others. See what im saying?
...but... If I *can* play multiple games from one setup, why not? I can understand the problem that your situation imposes on the "classic" method of gaming (i.e. that they can't get up and change the disk), but with Steam I don't need to change the disk. See what I'm saying?
I do and i appreciate what your implying as a sort of loopole but the point is to try and pick ONE game to play for a month. I know you could play counter strike, or anything else it throws down in a split second but what i want is ONE game you would play for a month.
Well if you wanted me to pick a game to play for a month, why did you go through all the trouble of breaking my arms and legs? Why didn't you just say "are there any games that you could play for a month?"

In grudging answer to your question- GMOD. Custom servers all round xD

Dude, you're missing the point. The question is "If you could only play one game for an entire month, what would it be?". Quit being a goober.
I'm not missing the point, I'm artfully skirting around it. I'm fully aware of what the question is, however I prefer my simple questions without limb-breaking (if that's all right with you, obviously)
i broke your arms and legs to create a realistic scenario were you would be forced to play video games for a month. Excuse me for trying to add flavor to your "If you could play one game for a month" thing.
Look around you dude, we're gamers :p We need excuses to NOT play games for a month, we're more than capable of finding reasons TO play games :p

Im seeing alot of WoW being played here. No one could stand that much of one game? What about a classic NES game, or a classic Sega Genesis game.

YOU PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DEEP GAMERS!!
No classics because the average NES game had under ten hours before you've done literally everything. So world of warcraft, the biggest online RPG known to man or dolphin isn't for deep gamers? Instead we should talk about Donkey Kong Jr. We at the Escapist think hard about what would be fun for a whole month.

Your hypothesis is confusing, because I think I can get my mum or brother to get a new game in for me, or just use Steam and have almost all the PC games I own without having to even close the window. But say a more logical situation for only one game; lost on a desert island with a console, food, water, an internet connection that couldn't take large scale downloads, and one game. For this I pick Tetris DS or Jump! Ultimate Stars. Tetris is a classic and the DS version has loads of options to extend the classic well beyond the one month point. Jump! Ultimate Stars is Japanese so I could spend the first couple days translating it then the rest of the time unlocking, upgrading, and playing around with the 300 characters.

Oblivion on the PC, with expansions, and player mods. I'd have just as much fun configuring it as playing it :D
Yup, my hands-down winner too. Or else Morrowind. They both give me months of game-play on a single character with all the possible side quests.

sirSir, i dont I don't very much care care very much for you your attitude.
I'm just laying down the truth. There are worse people on this site than me. I was saying that despite having the nostalgia value and still being general simple fun, 80s and 90s games probably won't hold up for too long. If I came of wrong, sorry. I'm just giving my response to the question.

Probably WoW.
It would stay different enough for me to stay interested for 730 hours.
I'd do this. I'd either restart or load up my old character and start towards the end and revisit some old friends for raiding and stuff.

Left 4 Dead online on PC or Fallout 3 on PC with a bunch of mods.
I'd pick Left 4 Dead of the two though, just because I've already played FO3 extensively on PS3.

either medieaval 2 (with expansions), or empire total war

there can be weeks worth of gameplay in one campaign, and about 20 different (unique) factions to play with, aswell as having loads of great historical battles and loads to mess around with in the custom battle modes

ummm.......
I don't know....
GTAIV-maybe, but too realistic.
Saints row 2-Gets boring easily
Garry's mod-same here
I'd probably do like everyone else and go for WoW, assuming i'd then find a remedy to stop playing it.

One of 2 options either stick with my xbox and play fallout 3, or get a pc and play Medieval 2 Total War
