I'm afraid I don't share your enthusiasm for MLP. I just... don't get it. It might have a 'good story' but it's still a little girl's cartoon to me and I've had a friend openly admit that he only likes them for not-so-pure reasons. I just think it's all kinda funny.

And then it would STILL find a way to be bland and samey

All of the spells are grey and brown, making them impossible to dodge, as they blend in with everything else in the game. The only color comes from the dragon's fire, which fades in about 2 seconds. Because let's face it, in the real world, fire doesn't spread, and there is no color anywhere.
