Imo there's nothing more or less scary about a racist woman than a racist man. The only difference I've ever seen is that the racist women I've come across tend to be more duplicitous than their male counterparts (ie, comment about me and my friends (I'm mixed race and two of my friends had started dating, making them an interracial couple) to their neighbours rather than saying/ doing anything to our faces, which we mainly got from male racists.Deadpool062 said:Unfortunately no, these guy's are not trolling. Are you sure this guy isn't trolling? It could be just a nutter but it does seem rather over the top.
Whilst they are intelligent enough to have constructed a coherent "opinion article" (for want of a better word) they wrote 'gun-loving patriots' as 'Gun loving Patriots' and illustrated the supposed problem of escalating ethnic minority knife crime with multiple images of guns. Also, they referred to their own audience with a racial slur. Even the pretend-smart ones can be beaten down with simple logic and good, well-structured arguments. I don't really understand what you mean by 'decry it and they'll use you'; what can they use you for?Abandon4093 said:The scary thing is the person who's running the blog seems fairly intelligent.
At the least, he's articulate enough to get his point across without seeming like a total nimrod. Fuck knows what you do with these types of people. The really dumb racists you can just ignore. Because they're just fucking stupid. No need to dwell on the idiots. But when you find one that's a vehement racist that can still string a sentence together. Well, what do you do? Ignore it and it could garner more attention. Decry it and they'll use you. Censor it and they'll be a martyr.
Yup, the seemingly reasonable ones are always the most dangerous.
Personally, I find that the unchallenged ones are the most dangerous. If people let the ignorant go around trumpeting their views unchallenged, more morons might get the idea that those views are tolerated by mainstream society. It promotes their crusader mentality by fuelling the notion of a 'silent majority'.
EDIT: ninja'd on the point about it being written by a woman.
