I, um, yeah. This is not... oh boy.

Granted they aren't know for their tact or intelligence in general, but seriously? Once in a while they will actually do some good, but with things like this it's hard to see how they can maintain any kind of momentum.

PETA always astounds me as to their ridiculous moves. Serves well for entertainment, not so much for ending animal cruelty.

Listened to a PETA spokesperson the other day talking about the fur industry. Claimed dramatically that "some animals are even skinned alive!"

Yeah great drama sure but completely false. I don't know much about the fur industry, but I'm sure people realise how difficult it is going to be to skin a live struggling animal right? You think someone making a fur coat is going to want to deal with that? Furthermore what possible benefit is there in skinning an animal while it's alive? Holy crap these PETA people just astound me with their stupidity.

On a more serious note I'd be terribly suprised if this site worked to turn so much as a single person.
I also assume the abuse is going to be things like cockfights and beaten dogs, things that going vegetarian/vegan won't change AT ALL... it'd be like switching to rainwater to try and stop oil spills...

As much as I agree that from a marketing persoective this has already been a 'success':
In the end an ad is a failure if it doesn't make you consider their product, and quite frankly I don't think anyone is going to go "Omg the PETA is making a pornographic shock site!" and go vegan because of it :/
