There's already an "oh gosh PETA made porn" thread. The fact that you've started another one just goes to show how incredibly effective and media-savvy PETA is. Make no mistake, the score right now is PETA 2, The Escapist nil. You can sure as hell bet that nobody's starting threads about us on their site. Think about that for a few moments.
That's true. Someone carve "Gamers against porn" into a whale.

They've literally turned animals suffering into a fetish... The irony is overwhelming.

This is what happens when a bunch of hippies who've never worked a day in their lives get sent fistfuls of cash, they come up with stupid shit like this.

wait..... what? this is like an actual plan, not just a massive troll? really? I think PETA may be run by a chimpanzee, cause this animornuffering (yes that is now what it is called) is just bananas.

Okay. Let me get this straight: They're splicing in clips of animal cruelty in with porn?
Best case scenario, somebody is really into it until the animal clip comes on, in which case he goes a little limp and migrates to a different website to finish.
Worst case scenario, somebody is really into it until the animal clip comes on, in which case he goes a little limp, but decides to wait it out until the porn commences, and is eventually conditioned to have an illicit sexual thrill whenever he sees a tortured animal.

Anyways, I suppose this was just the next step for them, considering all those ads before that were full of nudity.

PETA always astounds me as to their ridiculous moves. Serves well for entertainment, not so much for ending animal cruelty.

Listened to a PETA spokesperson the other day talking about the fur industry. Claimed dramatically that "some animals are even skinned alive!"

Yeah great drama sure but completely false. I don't know much about the fur industry, but I'm sure people realise how difficult it is going to be to skin a live struggling animal right? You think someone making a fur coat is going to want to deal with that? Furthermore what possible benefit is there in skinning an animal while it's alive? Holy crap these PETA people just astound me with their stupidity.
I watched a documentary years ago on the bbc, i think it was, of people skinning a dog alive because of some nonsense about not spoiling the fur. Can't remember what the exact country was but it was either china or south korea. It does happen but not in western countries.

Huh, you learn something new every day. This woman was trying to make it sound like common practice of course. It shows how they can take legitimate concerns and make them so ridiculous that people just stop caring, making them an utterly purposeless organisation.

peta is all about propaganda. they sometimes do more harm than good.
and they lost a lot of respect from me after a newspaper showed that peta euthanized 92% of the domestic animals that were given to their own animal shelter in 2010.

Hey that doesn't take into account the 100s of thousands (or even millions) of weasels/ferrets PETA or ALF kills every year.

I can't help but notice that they want to make visitors to the site 'Stop and think'.
Gotta say, on a XXX site, a guys blood might be a little south of their brain.

Usually PETA merely manages to enrage me, but this time I just can't help but laugh, especially since this ludicrous new campaign appears to be ripped straight from Family Guy:

PETA is full of lunatics. It's one of the few groups that make my brain do a saving throw against imploding every time I read about them.

Some people you meet seem intelligent.
Some people you think might be insane.
Then you see this. What the FUCK goes through someone's head to make them think this is a good idea?

Pretty sure this is banned here under extreme porn act.

Degrading women to give someone an awkward fap, and a thought for those poor animals for about 12 seconds before they climax? Wow.

Alright, I'm in. Where do I register to support it? ;)

OT: Seriously? Ok, I though PETA was nuts before, but I don't think people would go to this site now, unless this is what they're into. They've told us already.

Must have slipped me by, sometimes the big ones get lost out there.

The Southpark PETA episode is looking more and more like reality.

BonsaiK got there first.

If they only used conventional and "nice" campaigns, they would be completely ignored. In this modern time, you need to shock to get attention.

And from a personal point of view: I'm not too familiar with PETA, aside what it's for and for it's campaign reputation, but I still get an image of a passionate (and aggressive) organization. I feel certain they'll always change a thing the way they'd want it to be, if they've got the opportunity and resources to do that.

edit: and given the context; this is one of those things that will gain massive popularity in teh Internetz. By both: "Oh my god! I nearly choked on my toast when I heard about PETA...", posting it on FB and other social medias and then by the /b/-like randomness & trolling phenomenons and such.
