Old dead games

So I got to thinking about all those games we used to love to play that had fallen victim to time, I figured there must be some sort of group that plays random old dead games, unfortunately though my Google searching yielded nothing.

I created this topic though more importantly to ask if anyone knows of any Australian groups that do this?

There are thousands of old games.

You'll probably get a better response if you give out a bit more details like genre, platform, maybe even specify some titles.

They're not really 'dead' games if people are still playing them, are they?

Maybe the OP is talking about games you might find on GOG? I certainly play a lot of Darklands and I was playing Master of Magic not two seconds ago. Around that era of gaming?

I'll check out GOG now, but mainly im interested in fps games, old CoD, old BF, even half life mods

If CoD is old than I am an ancient gamer only kept animate by promises of upcoming kickstarter crpgs.

Either way, you'll have to go through Amazon.com for the original CoDs and Battlefields. Check ModDB for Half-Life Mods. If you have half-life 2 and enjoy multiplayer then I would recommend the Empires mod.

Now, can we please talk about games like Burntime and the Microprose Magic the Gathering game so I can feel relatively younger?

Thanks for the recommendation Vern, and the issue isn't purchasing the game its that nobody plays them. Is that the same issue you're having with magic the gathering? I have never played it is the Microprose version that different to the more recent releases?

No no no, I didn't realize by 'dead' you meant that the multiplayer is dead. There are generally diehards who play on the weekends when it comes to old multiplayer. You might need to lookup workarounds for the multiplayer as the original servers could have been shutdown leaving only the private servers that need to be accessed in a specific way.
