Couch co-op: why is this not in games (especially ones that have co-op in them) I don't feel like going online just to find one person I can stand to play with when I could just play with my buddy or something without the hassle.

Unlockables: what ever happened to unlocking alternate skins and levels it was such a nice thing that could warrant another playthrough of a game (One of the reasons I love DMC3) these sort of things are also much better rewards than an achievement.

Secret Boss fights and areas: These were rewards for playing well and also made for some challenges. (do this and that to fight a horribly overpowered boss or shoot every wall until you find the room with the weapon of ultimate destruction) Its also really fun to find all of a games secrets if you ask me as it shows it was good enough to make you care.

Health bars and health packs: Gray screens only go so far to tell you how close you are to death a health bar is more precise and easy to read. (it also doesn't obstruct aim when you are hurt) Also do I have to go into detail on why health packs are good there are tons of people talking about it

Good boss fights in FPS's.

Example: I was really looking forward to fighting the Leviathan in Resistance 2. I'd seen a lot of little snips of footage of it, and I thought it looked like a really cool fight. Unfortunately, it just amounted to running somewhere and shooting a couple of rockets. Pretty major let-down, though I still liked the game.

I miss being in direct control over my party as a whole instead of one singular character too.

Like a lot of other people here, being able to carry and swap out more guns than I have limbs in FPS titles. I also miss being able to run around 50MPH in FPS titles before hitting the sprint button. It would also be nice to play a FPS where you're killing monsters, demons, etc instead of humans who happen to be Commu-Nazi's or whatever else.

I also miss manuals. Someone else mentioned it but I miss full-color manuals that tell you about the in-game enemies, items, extra stuff, etc.

Bot matches and playing multiplayer modes as a single player, offline.
