As much as I'm attracted to modern games, I still play games that are pretty old like the 1st Red Alert or Shogo Mobile Armor Division. One reason is that I can't keep shelling out money for new games and the other reason is that it's hard to find a game that really piques my interest these days. What about you?

Well I'm playing through Mario RPG right now thanks to the Wii's virtual store.

And it is awesome.

Also Goldeneye 007 on the N64. Still some of the most fun you can have with friends.

I occasionally re-play older games. A few months back I re-played Soulblazer. There are others, FFT, LoZ:LttP, Crono Trigger, Civ 2, ect.

I don't really play old games these days. With the video game time that I have, I prefer investing it into something a bit more modern. It doesn't help that I no longer own any consoles older than the current gen.

FFIV, FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Half-Life, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 3, Gradius 3...

Mostly done with Nintendo products. Thank you, Nintendo, for supporting my nostalgia.

Quake. I occasionally get an urge to FINALLY complete the first Half-Life game, but I'm at the forced crossbow part and ammo is scarce.

Also, if anyone here owns both the original Half-Life and Half-Life: Source, just before that part there's a little physics puzzle (similar to the airboat ramp in Half-Life 2). I definitely saw a HL2 oxygen barrel being used to push up the platform that I needed to get on. Was that puzzle always there?

EDIT: Oh yeah, Sonic 1-to-3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Knuckles in Sonic 2 and 3 (got the Sonic Classics Collection)
EDIT2: Oh, and also Destruction Derby for PS1 sometimes, Rainbow Six for PS1, and occasionaly me and my friend have a Tekken Ball marathon in Tekken 3, again on PS1

I play a lot of old games, just none of them regularly. Like i might have a random 5 minutes of sonic one day and play ocarina the next ;D

The games i've gone back to and completed the most though are Spyro 1 and Crash 3.

MechWarrior 2 and Ghost Bear's Legacy
SimCity 2000
Raptor: Call of the shadows

And I'll occasionally pick up a random old game (eg: Marathon, XCom, Quake) and play through for a while...

Tetris and Pokémon Gold (but that can hardly be considered regular).

That's a pretty good list specially Masters Orion 2 what an amazingly fun game. You can buy it for like 10 bucks I bet and make sure you download the 1.31 patch I never tried any of the user mods beyond that though.

Total Annihilation is the only one I play with any kind of regularity, but I also enjoy some Earth 2140 now and again (dunno if it's pre-Y2K though), Raptor: Call of the Shadows, Ascendancy (if you like 4X space games, go check it out NOW - it did SO many things right), more I can't remember. Also Half-Life.

Super Smash Brothers...

Never gets old.
Something tells me it never will. There's just something about having 10 people in a room crowded around the N64 passing the controller back and forth as everyone frantically tries to win that makes SSB so awesome.
