Anybody remember the old games from before 3d? When you had topdown shooters and sidescrolling platformers. I can remember a few, classics like Zombies from the megadrive, the original Mario and Sonic games(Before they sold out) Anybody else think that they should re-release some of these games to new consoles with expanded content?

None, absolutely none.

Look at the classic games they've tried to revive, they all ruined the series.
The boldest example being sonic.
Also the 3D space invaders that came out a few years back.
Both awful.

No. If you want to play the same games over and over again, just do it, but don't make any more profit out of software that is so old it should belong in a library.

I think the Oddworld games were AMAZING. Oddworld Inhabitants should start making games again.

the first Gta's
Always thought the PC versions were better than the console releases.

Is reviving the proper term here? I always thought that was linked to 're-imagining' and similar terminology used to disguise remakes.

Can't think of too much in my tastes as far as the topic seems to go. Most likely since I still have a working Genesis. Favorites of my collection I'd throw up: Columns, Midnight Resistance, Streets of Rage 1, Revenge of Shinobi, Road Rash 2 and 3.

Well, it's not 2D, but I'd like it if Conker's Bad Fur Day was revived. God I love that game.
Did Reloaded count towards that or no?

na i prefer the fun you could have with the old ones
Yes, 1, London, and 2 right? They were released as a box set for both the PC and PSOne. Mostly similar, though the PSone version of GTA2 changed the maps slightly, removed the Day/Night option and parked cars. Never really played the first set enough to notice the differences.

I can't think of a game that needs reviving, but I can definitely think of a series: the Chrono series. Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are the best RPGs I've played, and I think Square needs to make another, after putting the necessary amount of thought and resources into it, of course.

Duke Nukem. We NEED DNF!!
Duke Nukem 3D was released for XBLA in late 2008, featuring a neat respawn system for single player, co-op, and 8-man multiplayer (I think).
