I don't think any games need remakes. I'd prefer my hobby to move forward not back.
I don't think this is the case. Opening up old games to the next generation can give them perpective on what gaming is and what it has been and what it can be next.

Donkey Kong 64 for the PSP

its basically Mario 64 with Donkey Kong instead- that is you explore and open world collecting stuff

Super Star Wars for the DS

side scoller that has a tendency to be hugely difficult

Dues Ex machina for whatever

RPG shooter, never played it before but I hope they make a remake so I can play it without having to put up with the dated graphics
There are things in my kitchen cupboards that are older than the first two! Do they really need one?

wait, I hope Super Star wars gets remade for the DS and Donkey Kong 64 gets remade for the PSP

Super Star Wars is a Super Nintendo game and Donkey Kong 64 is Nintendo 64 game

I guess I didn't make that clear

I'd love to see a remake of Baldur's Gate with Dragon Age style graphics but the old BG combat system and story, Dragon Age just does not cut it for me, despite it apparently being the 'Spiritual Successor to BG.

Legaia 2, from the PS2. I LOVED that game, except for the random battles. like the story, the cinematics, the powers, the team combos, the items...EVERYTHING but the random battles
I forget: was it this game or the first one where you had a 3 way boss battle where the strategy boiled down to: Block the entire 3 rounds until the opponent did super attack move, then use superpower from the parasite on your arm, then use a heal spell or item, then repeat the block, attack, heal pattern?

As for me I'd love to see Terranigma get a graphical update. I am still miffed that the US did not get this game and I had to play it by way of import copy and later on rom. It has been 15 years Square-Enix, get cracking. You are making Dragonquest remakes all the time.

Red Alert 2 with modern graphics would be pretty kick ass. But I really don't agree with remakes. I think that if a developer wants to continue a series, they should at least write a new story, throw together some new enemies or allies, and overall try to progress from the original game into a sequel.

I played the game. I know what it is. No need to direct me to place where I can get information about a game I already know about.

Sequels are better than remakes.
Not necessarily. I very much doubt you could find anyone who thinks Castlevania II: Simon's Quest was better than Super Castelvania 4 (which was a remake of the first one)

Anachronox. This game have a niiiiice potential. New engine, a little refresh, and here we go - sci-fi ironic RPG-Adventure.

I want an Earthworm Jim remake.

Nah, seriously, I want Squaresoft (not Squeenix) to recreate my favorite game, Einhander. When did all that innovation, uniqueness and epicness go? I also want my sequel X(

GTA san andreas

the best gta ever made IMO and a remake would be the best thing since sliced bread
