Since my PS3 YLOD'd and I don't feel like forking over more money to Sony for 3 more years at best for another PS3, I've been playing FFVII on PSOne and a bunch of games including MGS2 and MGS3 on PS2. Going to raid Gamestop and pickup a bunch of PS2 games I passed on before(Shadow of Colossus, Bully, Killer 7 etc). Will also pick up ESPN NFL 2K5 since the disk stuck in my PS3 is Madden 04 and no the disk eject trick will not work because it's a 80 GB bc with 4 USB ports.

Damn you Sony.

I've been playing Shining Force 1 and 2 lately. Add Golden Axe on top of that too. Not sure which is older, but I've been playing both.

Jagged Alliance 2. Amazing game mechanic depths. Awesome squad turn based tactical shooter. With the mods from the Bear's Pit forums it is the best strategic game I've ever played. If you even remotely like games like the Fallout Series, Hammer and Sickle, or Silent Storm treat yourself. But you have to get the mods at http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

I was playing through Baldur's Gate 2 but my old hard drive died and it killed me that my save imported from the previous games/expansion packs was gone forever. MAKE BACKUPS.

House of the Dead 2 on the PC. It's one of those games that's so bad that it's good, mainly because of the voice-acting.
Gameplay's alright, though.

X-Com Apocalpyse.

Best Stategy game ever.
Heck yeah, technically I have still never completed it. I really under-utilize psi powers in those games, in UFO thats not such an issue, but appoc it seems I really need it more.

Still, a darn good game.

And for all who are insulted that i'm asking for "old" games,

Old is in technology years, where everything ages 10 times faster.
So yes, PS2 is old.

I revisit a lot of the classic adventure games every now and again.

Gabriel Knight
Monkey Island
Grim Fandango
Full Throttle
Zork

I'll probably go back to playing this MUD [http://www.play.net/dr] at some point, too. I've been playing that off and on for year.

And some old brawlers or SHMUP's are always fun.

I think the oldest game I still actively play is Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. That thing is just one big piece of brilliance, and I can't seem to get tired of it.

I think a better question would have been what modern games am I playing, most of the games I play are older.

Right now I'm playing Nocturne, Devil Summoner 2, Star Ocean 3, Okage, Ar Tonelico 2, Jumping Flash and Breath of Fire VI. I have more I want to play but I want to at least beat a few on that list before I start even more. (Maybe if I stopped posting on the forums and actually played I'd finish more).

I still play Turrican II: The Final Fight (Amiga Version). It's still one of my favourite games of all time, AND easily has the best soundtrack. I truly hope that this series would get an HD-remake... That would be AWESOME!

Other (some not so) old games I still play:

Deus Ex
Heroes III of Might and Magic: Complete + In the Wake of Gods
Warblade (Remake of one of the most amazing Amiga games, Deluxe Galaga)
Worms: Director's cut (Best version of Worms to date)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
And whole bunch of Amiga games I don't feel like mentioning... Because that would take a long time...
Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3
Ledend of Zelda: Link to the past
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy 4, 6, 9 and 12
