Would Age of Empires be too obvious a guess? Maybe a Total War game?Kasbo said:Nah that's not it, thanks for trying though.Candy Norris said:Civilization??
Does anyone else know? I played it in the late 90's / early 2,000.
It's a war turn-based PC game. You would build your army, units would take time to build so you would turn to the next day. With your army you would defend you castle or attack other castles (AI - NOT multilayer). The aim of the game was to take control of all the land. Game was set in the past, don't know what year (it had cannon's though). When attacking another castle you could control the troops from a sky point of view. Telling them where to go and how to attack.
Any help would be loved![]()
Could be Rise of Nations, but I think that lets you develop your technology up to and beyond modern day.
There was a WRPG I played on a demo disc in the very early 2000s, maybe even late '90s. It was isometric and controlled via point 'n' click. I remember that you started outside of these castle walls and then were thrown into a jail cell where you could talk to the guard. I think he was drunk, or you could convince him to drink. I think it was possible to convince him to let you out, too. Anyway, eventually you see somebody break in and kill all the guards at the entrance. You're let out of your cell and have to get away.
That's all I remember. I don't know if that was the start of the game, or if that's just where the demo started. If it helps, it was on a PC Gamer UK demo disc alongside SWAT 3.
