i cant seem to remember a lot from this game, but its a PC game where you were in a purple haunting looking mansion. I believe you solved puzzles and all I remember really is that you started from the bottom up I think and that at one point you had to go through this window and go on a rope to get to the other side or something. I think for the end of the game you had to find a scientist with crazy gray hair or something else. Oh what I also remember is that there were these two purple eyes. I think it was in the 1990s. I know its not maniac mansion. I think once you entered the house you're in the main lobby and you have the chose to go to different places, I think you can go outside but I don't really remember that

Sorry but that's not it :( I checked screenies/let's plays and this looks like a point+click adventure game. The one I played was a puzzle platform-ish type. Oh and now I recall, enemies were giant insects! Scorpions that shoot fireballs, spiders, giant ants.

I vaguely remember playing a rpg style game - all I can remember is that the main guy is able to transform into beasts/creatures (think there was something to do with a graveyard for them, maybe they were spirits that had been defeated.)
I'm also pretty sure that the main character goes on his journey accompanied by a girl..
That's all that I can really remember (There might have been a underground sewage tunnel part to the story if that helps anyone)
Sorry for the complete lack of detail but it's all I can remember.
Thanks in advance to any ideas or information.
Could be Shadow Hearts? That's what it sounds like to me. It was set around the 1900's but was full of modern tech and stuff?
That's it! Thank you very much, been racking my brain for ages.
Nay worries. I loved that game!

Re-posting, as no one replied and I don't want it to get lost.

When I was a kid (early 90s), we had a really old fashioned computer. Like it basically did nothing. However, the only reason I remember it was because it had this one game on it that I played EVERY day. But for the life of me I can't remember the name of it, and no one ever knows what I'm talking about.

The game I think came with the computer, so it wasn't on a disk or downloadable. It was just there.

The game was very similar to the board game Clue. In that you were a detective trying to solve a murder in a house, where there are a bunch of suspects. The differences are that the murderer keeps killing people until there is no one left but you if you don't figure out who the murderer was, meaning you lose, and that the "house" has 2 or 3 floors with multiple rooms where you have to solve the murder. It's a one-player game that you can finish in anywhere from 10 minutes to a half hour, but I was addicted. From the time I got home from school until supper time I would play this game.

I also remember now that everything was orange in colour in the game, and the background colour was black.

Can someone help?

I am looking for an older tbs pc game. You started out at a castle and had to fight skeletons. When moving it would be like in Jagged Alliance where it would show the footsteps. It was kind of cartoony looking and when two units met they would be transported to a different screen and that's where the battle would be held. There seemed to be quite a bit of levels that were in the dessert and I think it was created by a German company that was known for releasing games with tons of bugs and take a long time to make them fully functional.
It could be one of the original Gothic games. I'm pretty sure they were made by Germans.
No that wasn't it but thanks. I just recently found it and it was called empire of magic. Took going through more than 300 pages in an amazon search for all pc games.

Hey guys! I'm new to this forum but I've been looking for this game for a long time now.
It was a 3D Diablo style RPG from the laste 90's or early 00's. It was a demo on a disk of PC Gamer or SW Power. I think it was PC Gamer but can't be sure.
Anyway you started outside an inn and around it there were lots of big spiders. I remember buying some equipment in the inn and trying to kill the spiders. The loading screen was like brown or red with the logo being a horizontally placed sword.

That's all I've got. I hope someone can help me.

Dare
Could it be Baldur's Gate maybe?

Ok so there was this game I played and I can't remember what it was, but you looked down the sights of a gun sometimes and shot terrorists in the middle east :p

OT There was this turn based mega man game I used to play which I think was based on a mega man cartoon, and in the overworld you played as human boy who could plug his device into computers to control mega man. And you had to go to school and stuff
Second one is mega man battle network for GBA.

Okay so I've been scouring the internet for a game I played on the PS1 as a kid. It was a metroid-esque sci-fi game where you were in a truck/car thing for 99% of the game. It fired missile and bullets and whatnot, but you could find upgrades that would change the vehicle into different colors and give it different abilities. Certain doors you could only get through with a specific type of the car. The car also had jump jets and the game had some platforming to it. When you weren't in the vehicle you would go into these little complexes where you had a top-down view of your character and would shoot these bug things.

As far as the story went it started with the main character saying that his parents were scientists or something that found alien/bug things underground and went to investigate, never coming back. 8 years or so later your character is 18 and his little sister is like 16. He decides to go underground and his sister stays top-side to relay information to her brother from their command center. After that there is a short cutscene where the vehicle drops into the hole underground and you start off.

This is really going back a bit but... I remember playing a game on the Atari 520 STFM and the main thing I remember is the soundtrack was Holsts The Planets, in particular "Mercury: Winged Messenger" featured heavily in the levels. It was a shooting / platforming game where you were in a cavern guiding a guy around trying to find the exit to each level I think?

Not much to go on I know, but the music is hopefully the key to someone remembering, youtube video of the music below - skip to 44 seconds for a section I remember from the game.

Thanks

Hey guys! Hopefully someone will know what game I am describing.
It's a PS1 RPG. It has various characters you can pick to start the game with. As you progress through the game, you can meet and team up with the other characters that you didn't choose. Some of the characters I can remember that you could pick from was:

a blonde girl(?)- if you pick her as your starter you have to escape from some kind of jail
a red haired guy- I don't really remember when what you have to do if you pick him, but I distinctly remember having a red haired guy to pick from for a starting character
a purple haired girl- I believe she's some kind of vampire(?) princess, if you play as her you has to escape the palace

There's more but I don't remember. I just remember that all the characters had some kind of colored hair. Hopefully that's enough info for you.

So Ive been trying to find an old game I found in one of those old demo CD's that came with around 300 other games. If I remember correctly, it was a fantasy RTS game. I remember that there was orcs, ogres, gnolls and your typical mystical creatures. You didnt build buildings but instead took over areas that were either altars or runes. From those altars/runes you chose what unit would be summoned. Units would summon automatically every few seconds depending on what unit you chose. I think units could also morph together to form a stronger unit but cant recall it clearly. If I remember any more info ill post it.

I remember this demo I played on the Amiga 500 that took place in a facility built on either a planet or moon. The demo had no sound, so it made the game feel eerie. I wonder if it was supposed to have any sound at all because I would often see word balloons.

The view was similar to a side-scroller except the rooms didn't scroll. When I walked left to right and exited the room, the entire background would change to the next room and I would appear on the left again. I don't know what that kind of gameplay is called.

The main character was a guy in a spacesuit and helmet. Almost looked like one of the Daft Punk dudes.

I remember there was graffiti on the wall that had a name like "Kines" or "Kynes" maybe in homage to Dune's Liet Kynes?

There is a game I have been trying to think of. This might be a hard one as I only have some sketchy details.

This would be late 80s early 90s PC game. It is fantasy based, single player RPG game. Good graphics for the time. A 3d world environment. You were basically a night walking around exploring the world, fighting undead and other typical monsters. I remember the graphics were about as good as the game Myst.

I think the title was something similiar to Drakken or along those lines. No, its not Drakkhen for the SNES. Your main quest was to find (or fight) a Dragon.

Oh, one major thing. The game was buggy as hell. It would keep crashing at this one certain spot and you could never progress. I think a patch came out for it to fix the crashing, but I never got around to installing it.
I was looking for the same game and the Dragon you mentioned triggered something. I also remembered that it was really buggy and it crashed after you talked with someone not far along in the game.
Could it be you are looking for "Dragon Lore"?

HELLOOO!!!

I'm looking for this game that I remember playing around the year of 2004 (the game however can be older than that). It was on PC. I remember playing as this boy with tall red hair. I wonder if the hair might have been flames. I'm not sure if it was in 2D or not, but I think so. When you played you started out on the earth or something that looked like it. Then later I think the character went into space to a planet a fought against white monsters. Don't remember how though.

I'm getting nuts!. I really need to find this game! Can anyone help?

I remember playing a game in the early 00's. PC I think but it may have been an emulator for a console. 2D anime style side scrolling fighting game. Had 5 on your team I think and you could change who you were. Basically the only thing I can remember about it was that there was a fire guy and and ice/electric guy. When both were at a certain HP threshold(35% I think) you could run into each other and make one electric/fire dude that looked yellow and had blue hair.
