I've been trying to find this game for YEARS...

I remember that I ran it on windows 98 and found a copy for psone.

It was a 3d tank battle game where you would spawn in a grid like arena and travel around the map looking for other tanks to destroy. I remember very simple polygons and like I said a 'grid like arena.'

Also, when you would spawn, an announcer like voice would say something like, "Entering Arena..." Gah-lee I wish I could find out what this game was.
Cyber Sled?
Nope, but you helped me out! I found it. It was called "Assault Rigs"

Hey I have a not-so-old flash game that I have been trying to track down for a while now, and I'm wondering if anyone would help me.
It's a 2d side-scroller with almost a neon look to it. It's a space adventure game where you are a green space ship and have to do missions and kill red spaceships, sometimes salvaging a weapon you can add to your ship. There are different sectors(witch were basically a grid for the playing field but with special properties) like safe haven(53-27), deadzone(63-32), hostile area(22-17), etc. there were also different NPCs that were just really big space ships. I can't remember the story(if there is one) though. Anyways, I would like some help with this.

I am trying to obtain the name of a vertical (top down) arcade shooter/shoot 'em up from around the early 90's. I don't remember a lot of the game details, but I distinctly remember one of the early boss battles. The boss battle begins by a frog or a toad hopping out of a temple or ruins. The frog/toad is then struck by lightning (I think) and transforms into a much larger frog/toad. If I remember correctly, I don't believe you are flying in a ship, but traveling on the ground. That's basically all I can remember about the game. Can anyone provide the name of the game to me? Much appreciated.

I've been looking for this game for god know how long soooo please help!

It's was on a ps1/2 demo, it's was a fighting game with decent enough graphics. You fought on opposite sides of a field (visual was ariel) and I remember that you could only select two or three character out of the set - 1 character was a female who could throw crystal/ice and another male who could throw fireballs. Both could bring up a wall from their powers and bring down a heavy power (like a giant crystal / Hugh fireball).

Was a really cool game ... If anyone can remember what it was called, I'd be really grateful.

Thanks
Dee

I remember an old Strategy game that was set in space and the only thing that I remember from it was that one of the human ships in the game was a sphere. The game was made in the 90s or the early 2000s or something like that.

I'm trying to remember the name of a pc game i played around 2006-ish. Possibly before that.
It's a pc game about a boy who comes home from school and sees a note written on the fridge from his mom telling him that she had to take someone somewhere. And she said other stuff too. And then i think the fridge opened up a weird black and white world where evil toilets tried to kill you. And i think there was a creepy school setting where evil teachers tried to kill you. Anybody have any idea what game i'm talking about?

I remember the game. Nightare Ned.

What's the name of the game that you can choose one out of 4 or 6 characters and you start in this place and you go outside to kill Wolves and you level up by killing monsters and you start off with your hands ( Your damage is like 10-20) and then you level up and get armor and weapons from monsters you kill!!! The character make weird noises when they attack specially the big white guy! Also there are 2 boys ( one of them is like a big white guy) and two girls (one of them is one with a fan and she attacks from far away). Also, this game is pretty old is if you have anything that might help me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment!!! GUYS please help me to find out the game's name!!!

P.S. I also remember that there's a lot of red at the beginning of the game I'm pretty sure it's a one-word game

Hey, hope someone can help. So.. I'll just go straight to the point.

Futuristic, sideview platformer, action.
Played it on my Windows 98 as a kid. Might fall into the same era as BlackThorne (same type of game as well).

The game starts off with a video of someone (your character) running along a narrow dimly lit metallic corridor. The character is being shot at from behind with some or other type of laser weaponry (red beams I do believe). The protagonist runs into a docking bay, narrowly avoids a few laser shots and blindly retaliates with a weapon of his own. He finally jumps into a futuristic airship (small, possibly a one-man cruiser) and flees the facility (the 'facility' might have been a huge airship - can't remember). The.. well.. enemies give pursuit quite hastily. The background is now a vista of endless lush alien forests. The protagonist's vehicle gets shot and he crashes in a pillar of smoke.

Now the actual gameplay starts. A bit clumsy movement controls. Alien forest, some kind of robotic enemies. I don't remeber the first area that well but later in the game you manage to go into a futuristic building with a bar and a train station that transports you between map areas.

OK. The descriptions might be a bit vague but maybe someone here can piece the puzzle together. Also, I've scoured all through abandonia in search of this game, alas without success.

Well, here's to a bit of luck! :)
That's an easy one - Flashback. A story was ran recently. It's getting an HD remake.

Guardian Legend maybe?
EDIT: Nevermind, I was actually thinking about Blaster Master. Neither of those are what you are looking for I don't think.
Could be Chrono Trigger. You do fight Toad at one point, who has the giant frog attack.

Hi guys!

I've been searching for this game for a while, not sure if anyone can help me, since I remember very little about it.

The main character was a ginger tomboy-ish girl who rode on a skate board. All I remember is her skateboarding in an art gallery/museum and finding a word game on a globe, and having to complete the word game.

At one stage of the game you could choose where to go in the city, it was all displayed on the screen in with hues of dark blues and shadows. I'm being vague I know, haha sorry!

If it helps, the character had extremely short hair, just falling at her chin in a straight cut. Her eyes were just two black dots. I remember the transitions from one screen were of her skate boarding in front of background of blue/grey/black hues.

Also, when the character interacted with another character, you could choose what she said in a list of sentences that were displayed below her.

Thanks :D :D

Possibly one of the greatest threads on the Internet, and judging by its popularity over the years you all might be on to something... Fascinating how many of us have a desire to go back and finish something or experience a particular game again :) There are some legendary gamers here, and I think the people here will be able to help me far more than Google has at this point (have spent *hours* reading and researching)...

I too am looking for a game that I played in the school computer lab (after school waiting for my mom who was a teacher there). It must have been very late 80's to early 90's (before '93). The computer lab was mostly Apple IIe's I think.

Anyway, the game was an adventure I believe - the introduction had you out for a picnic with your robot (which I'm pretty sure was named EZ-4U, but I'm not going to promise that's accurate - a Google search brings up ONE other thread where someone mentions a robot by that name from an Apple II game, so it could be right). You get frozen by "bad people/things" - Your robot gets kidnapped, so you must explore a couple different planets to find clues to find/save your robot.

I think there's a "universe" map with about six planets or so, and you can select any of your choice. When you do so, it starts a "Lunar Lander" type sequence, where you have to navigate your spaceship through the atmosphere (past obstacles that are unique to that planet's theme - each planet had different obstacles). You start at the top of the screen, and there's a landing pad at the bottom.

Once you land on the landing pad, it starts the "adventure" section for that planet. You can click various parts of the screen to find clues or talk to people. You can leave the planet any time and go to a different one. All I remember is a "desert" type planet, and one of the lunar landing sequences had strange spikey ball things in the way (forget what color they were).

Anyway, I'm going to be incredibly impressed if anyone remembers this game! I've spent hours upon hours of searching, looked through all of the games on the Apple II emulator website (virtualapple2.org) and I can't find anything about it.

Hi everybody

I have been thinking for a while lately about this game I presumably played a demo of during the mid 90s (PC).
All I remember is blurry and dream-like, so maybe some of the features I'm describing are actually different; anyway as far as I remember it featured:

- first-person perspective
- middle-age/fantasy setting
- a sea-side cliff like level with narrow dangerous paths from which you could fall (that was the demo level)
- (unsure) ropes to climb
- (unsure) bow as a weapon
- (unsure) troll like enemies

I must admit that being Dark Messiah the title that made me recall of the earlier game, some of this things might have actually been unconsciously re-interpreted in my mind to fit the latter.

I want to state once more that this was an old game, but I can't really tell how graphics looked because when you're a kid every game look astonishing!

Thanks in advance!

My brother and I used to play this online game like 10 years ago. It was a free roaming rpg where you played as a weird guy, I'm pretty sure with red curly hair, and you ran around the australian outback. It was desert like and I remember you could box kangaroos and such. It was crappy 3d and I think it was in a series of games with it's own website. The name of it was the guy's name. I really cant remember anything else but this is driving me insane. His name might have been Eddie.

Probably Megadrive or SNES:

You're this caveman guy (with a tail?). At the start your girlfriend gets kidnapped by a witch or something and you get turned into a monkey. Picking up these little power up things turned you back to a human and any more after that would make you all super Saiyan-like.
The bosses were usually dinosaurs and you had a club for a weapon.

Was an awesome game and I'd know the name if I saw it...

I vaguely remember playing a rpg style game - all I can remember is that the main guy is able to transform into beasts/creatures (think there was something to do with a graveyard for them, maybe they were spirits that had been defeated.)
I'm also pretty sure that the main character goes on his journey accompanied by a girl..
That's all that I can really remember (There might have been a underground sewage tunnel part to the story if that helps anyone)
Sorry for the complete lack of detail but it's all I can remember.
Thanks in advance to any ideas or information.
