Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

can someone help me i played a game a while ago but i cant remember his name i remember that i travel in time through a portal in order to find my father i think and i travel through different ages(for exemple i start in 1970 then go to 2025 etc)

There's only one game that I can remember that I've been trying to wrack my brain to recall the name of. It was similar to G-Nome with the mechs and sci-fi tech feel to it. it was openworld-ish and you could find hover crafts to fly around on. One of the weapons was a gun that launched purple discs, another launched something that looked like a lance/spear. You ran around in a space suit and had a jetpack. You started off on a grasslands world (nothing but grass and buildings really) then went to a snowy world later on. It was for the PC and I'm guessing was a early 90's game. I remember it had 4 discs and the boxart had about 4 people crouching down in cover on a cliff while lasers were fired at giant mechs below. One guy had a rocket launcher and was going to fire it. I could've sworn it started with the letter "T" but I'm not entirely sure.

EDIT: Oh, and it was a FPS.

That sounds a lot like Golden Axe [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Axe#Ports_and_remakes], but I don't think it was ever released for PS1.

No, its not Golden Axe it almost does look like it though.
I am not 100% sure if it was on the PS1 but it had good 32bit graphics so the closest console i think is the PS1.
the game i used to remember was like you don't climb on a dragon when you play it, when the game start you fly on the dragon with a man on it, and if you died the man goes down with his dragon.
So its like flying dragon shooter i am not sure if you can climb off the dragon after some part of a level though.

That sounds an awful lot like Panzer Dragoon.

What is the name of this game?

It's bothering me so much.

I played it for either the PS1 or PS2. It was very difficult and fairly violent. It was a very Japanese game. Kinda like RPG style. I remember the name being like oshimoru or something like that. It was pretty popular from what I remember and I've been trying to look it up for weeks.

It had a part of the game where there were floors and each floor was progressively harder. The game seemed almost impossible at the time of me playing it, but I want to try again, and I don't have the game anymore. Please help!

Onimusha had a deep dungeon you had to beat to get the best sword in the game. Hope that's your game.

I'm looking for an older simulation type/city or village building pc game.

It took place in castle times and had peasants, knights, mages/wizards, dragons and things of that nature. You had to find natural resources for building and such and the land appeared black and unknown until it was explored. You could ally with neighboring villages or conquer them. There were different version of everything you could build I think. Each getting stronger with each version or upgrade. All depended on what kind of resources you had. When constructing buildings or structures, you could only place the foundation, and the peasants would do the rest and build them completely. Its all a bit hazy in memory but im pretty sure that's how it all was. It was a short name I believe and I want to say it started with a "T". But I could just as easily be way off. I played it around 2002-2004...ish. Around that time. But im pretty sure the game itself is older than that.

This one has been hunting me for years, there was an old game that I use to play a lot back in the end of the 90's, it was a third person shooter, the environment was kind of futuristic and in spaceships and stations, the main character was a guy is a red battle armor, the enemies where humans, robot and turrets, you had several weapons, like regular machine guns, laser weapons, microwave cannons and such... I'm under the idea that the name had either the word "Loose" or "Cannon" but I'm not totally sure..

Any ideas, I would love to play this again some time

I have been trying to find this game for years, but I don't even know what console we were using...You were a kind of Knight guy with a sword (I think) and one of the levels was underground and you could collect little gems as you jumped from "rock" to "rock". It was in the late 80's and the game kind of scrolled left to right, and when you were in the cave it scrolled up I think. It must have been on an NES or maybe Sega. I know this isn't a lot of detail, but any help would be great. Thanks

Looking for a Sega Genesis game.

Start off as an elephant I think. You meet other animals with abilities to cross water and such. 2D sidescroller. Plain 2D like mario/sonic games.

The only Genesis game I know of where you play an elephant is Rolo To The Rescue.

Hey guys, so this is my first post here.

Since I bought a new computer I don't remember a game's name I used to play around 7-8 in my old Windows XP laptop.

Anyone knows the name of it?
- It was a 3D game
- It was set in modern ages
- It had very realistic graphics (Unreal Tournament & Open Arena and AssaultCube style)
- Scenario, levels
- Enemies and after some levels infected people start appearing from air ducts
- Weapons
- Levels mostly in buildings and outside area (Hmm...something like Devastation)

Any ideas? I really missed that game!

Hi all, I have a game I can remember but it's driving me crazy.

All I have is this: I played it as a PC demo on a demo disc in the late 90s/early 2000s. The game begins with some pigeons flying with whimsical music playing, then the pigeons get shot by either police or bank robbers. The mission begins with you in a helicopter using a mounted machine gun, shooting people who are on and around a bank.

Once you've completed that section, you get into the bank, and if you've shot it enough, a billboard will fall down. The main character would say "Nah, I didn't like that billboard anyway".

It's an FPS, and there's a variety of guns to use. At the end of the mission you end up in the bank's vaults but the bad guy has escaped through a hole in the wall. And that's where the demo ends.

It's not much to go on, but if anyone can work it out I'd really appreciate it!

Is it an on-rails shooter? It sounds a little like one of the Virtua Cop games.

Alright this ones been eluding me for ages, from what I can remember, it was a computer game from the 90s, early 00s, pretty sure you played as a spy against another spy, and the game took place on kind of like how a board game would be set up, if I remember correctly. There were different games you'd have to play within it to get weapons / defense items, and you'd use those on the other person to damage them, but if they had the defensive item to block it you did no damage. So say you'd use a gas attack, it'd show a cutscene of you using the attack, then if the other guy had a gas mask it would get used to block it.

Spy vs Spy? Or am I being overly literal?

Ok this was for snes I think, you start in some kind of underground mine, from where you are trying to scape, there are elevators and doors to pass through, you see diying slaves trapped with chains and you can actually kill them. There's a moment when you can scape the mine and go on in a strange forest. Monsters will try to kill you, and don't remember anything else well.
Some help?

Basically, I can't remember much of it, what i do remember was i reckon it was a side scroller game, but you had swords axes and possibly magic, the mobs dropped bags of gold or money and after defeating a boss there would be loads of them and you'd walk over them to pick them up, i think you could get keys aswell and open chests i have no clue what it is, i think it had a gothic theme to it, was a great game,

Hi, I used to play a flash game, might be almost 10 years ago, I was young but I will try to describe it the best I can:

From what I remember, there is a story, someone you love has been kidnapped or disappeared. You play as a sad spider-like creature, it is a very dark game with sad music, really depressing game. My parents told me I wasn't allowed to play it cause it was so depressing, of what I can remember. I don't remember if you fight creatures or not. I'm pretty sure the "girl" that you loved, was kidnapped by a dark creature. The character that you are playing is very sad, I felt sorry for him.


That is what I can remember, every time I think of this game, I get frustrated, just want to play it again, can't remember the name I really appreciate any help, i dont believe this is a known game but this is really important to me. I appreciate any help i can get. sorry if this is too much, thank you.

EDIT: the levels were some kind of caves I think, cave-like levels. Thank you again
