ive been looking for an old game and not sure if anyone here would be able to help since i only remember brief parts
or things about it, basically you were a guy and at the start of the game you woke up living in an olden day village type hut thing with your mother and she sends you off to do afew things so you can progress to the next part of the game you had to feed some farm animals, like pigs then do afew other then you come back and for some reason your house is burning down and your mother dies but she leaves some note note for you which helps with what to do next

you then start on some mission going around killing creatures after you figure out how to move a rock out of the way of some cave, dont remember much after that but eventually near the end of the game you get to this dungeon type place with snakes everywhere, and eventually end up in a castle having to fight abunch of dragons with a sword to be rewarded a bunch of gold or a treasure cheast

then theres part 2 where you are on some sort of large pirate type looking ship with alot of other people and they all eventually get sea sick so you have to clean up a certain amount of that vomit really fast in some time frame so you can progress, then the ship eventually crash's and you wake up on an island alone with very little memory of the ship wreckage and you then wonder around figuring out what to do well killing theses blue Pill bug looking things which bleed then give you gold
The start sounds a lot like Dink Smallwood http://www.rtsoft.com/pages/dink.php

There are some recent posts in this thread, so here comes yet another post from a user needing help with finding a title.

This is going to be a pretty barebones description of the game, as I remember very little about it. I was a wee lad inside of an EB Games and they had a PS1 demo set-up.

On it was a game that I'm pretty sure was an RPG as it had a turn based battle system, with 3 characters in the party. The one thing I remember most prominently about the game was that one of the party members was an older man who reminded me of an English butler,he had grey hair and a moustache and he used a pistol (possibly silenced??) as a weapon. The pistol as a weapon I know I am not mistaking.

I also believe the two other party members were a boy and a girl, the boy being the typical swordsman and the girl being a magic caster or something but I'm really not sure about that.

It had similar graphics to Shadow Madness (at least, that's how I remember it looking)

This was the one and only time I saw this game, and I've always wondered what it was as it seemed pretty cool (at the time, for all I know the game is utter crap) and I was intrigued by the RPG aspect since I was into stuff like FF, Shadow Madness, LoD etc. and never got my chance to ask the clerks what the game was. It's been almost 20 years now that I've harboured an aching curiosity towards finding out the name of this game. Hopefully, someone can sate it once and for all!

I don't know how key of a point this is, but the guy using the gun in battle is the one surefire thing I remember. Sadly, Google searches of "PS1 RPG game with guy who uses gun" yields nothing, haha.

tl;dr version:
-PS1 game with RPG elements
-turn based battle system featuring 3 party members
-one party member was an older man, grey hair and moustache that used a pistol as a weapon
-graphics similar to that of Shadow Madness

Hi guys...
I hope you can help me out with this one. It's an older arcade. Late 80's maybe early 90's. You play a ninja or possibly a worrier of some kind. The first thing you do when you start the game is choose the level you want to play. I believe there was five levels (although I could be wrong)
I've looked through every arcade game with the word "ninja" in it but couldn't find anything.

I know that's not a lot to go on but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi I'm looking for a racing game for PC.

I remember you raced in toy cars, had to go under little chekpoints to fill your battery and you could choose between a lot of different toys.

If anyone knows the name can they please tell me.

Nope, the spritework in the non-mech battles immediately dismissed it from being the game I'm trying to find out about. Good guess, though!

A user on gamefaqs suggested Koudelka, and after looking up battle videos from it there is a slim chance that it might be the game because in it (the video) one of the characters was using a silenced pistol for a weapon, although a female character was using it. So, there's that.

But apart from that, Koudelka doesn't look at all like what I remember playing. The older man that I described was taller than the other two characters in the party, and in Koudelka they all appeared to be the same size. I also remember my game looking a bit more kiddish compared to Koudelka.

Argh, my poor recollection of whatever I played makes determining what it was very difficult. If only I bothered to ask the clerks what game it was. *shakes fist*

2nd game; play station game, where you can be dragons, a gorilla like King Kong, or I think you could also be a kind of robot. You can climb the buildings in the city, and little people are running, and you can pick up some cars/gas hauling semi trucks and throw them at your opponent. You fly/jump around the city and grab glowing pick-ups/"perks"/upgrades to help you.
Thanks!

I got you covered, the game is Perfect Weapon. The only reason I remember is because I can never forget the level of frustration this game provided me with countless deaths and having to see that intro again and again and again.

Hi There

I'm looking for a Football manager type game I used to play with my mates, my internet searches have proved fruitless - so many games none seem to fit the bill from what I can recall either PC Game or more likely Amiga

it was in the early 90's, you could play as any team from prem to div 3 (although may have been div 1 to 4, that is a bit hazy), you could have at least 4 players (3 of us used to manage a team each), you started in the division your team was in (so if you picked Man Utd, they would be in top flight)

Skills on players ranked from 1 up to 10, I remember players like Koeman, vanbasten and Gullit were options you could buy on the transfer market, you were also limited to 5 "foreign" players in your squad and you didn't have to watch the games, you could just get the results after every game, not much to go on i'm sorry but hopefully it will jog a few memories?!

Cheers, Edge.

My fellow gamers, I call upon your help. I'm looking for a possible PS2 game, my memory of it is a little hazy. I might have even played if off a demo disc. I vaguely remember being in a large building, a warehouse maybe? Multiple rooms in said building. I remember going from room to room, fighting gang members or hired thugs. Encountering the people would start a battle sequence, you could use different attacks ranging from punches, kicks, and even using a gun to shoot your target. The battles were turn based and your character had an hp bar and another bar as well, ability points? Skill points? I'm not exactly sure.

Unfortunately I don't remember much other than that. The game was quite difficult for me at the time and I would like to revisit it in my adulthood in an attempt to conquer it. Any help is greatly appreciated and would help me stop digging this 10 year gaming itch!

Hi everyone, got a tough one (I think). Old trivia/educational(?) PC game in DOS or Windows 3.1, early 90's, and partially 3D (you'll understand soon). The setting was some sort of dungeon or basement of a castle and was very dark/dreary looking. The environment was 3D based in a 1st person perspective, but the characters that inhabited the rooms looked like cardboard cutouts. You would go up to each individual and they'd tell you a "fact" about history/science/ect. but some were lying. The goal was to identify who was lying and who was telling the truth. If the person is lying you would drag the handcuff icon onto them and they'd be sent to the jail in the dungeon. You win (I'm guessing, 8 year old me never got that far) by locking up all of the people spouting incorrect facts.

My guess is, the only people who will maybe have an idea what it's called will be people who actually played it. I've done google searches, web and image, off and on for the past 2 years and haven't come close to identifying it.

If anyone could give me a hand, it would be much appreciated!

Hi to everyone, first I want to thank that this kind of forums exists!!!
I'm looking for a DOS game that I played when I was little, it was a shoot'em up game where in the intro cinematic was a guy like a cyborg (i remember it was a blue cinematic) and a machine inserts and eye to his face with a mechanical arm, the machine is like the map-room of metroid-zero mission. Other thing I remember about the game is that the second stage I think was like sand background like desert. This game is a shoot'em up with ships and that kind of stuff. The game didnt have pre-rendered cinematics, I remember that all was pixel-art.
PLEASE I WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL if someone tells me the name of that game

Hi everyone,

The game I'm looking to identify was a kids PC game from either the late 90's or early 2000's. I believe it was a point and click advebnture game where you were in the forest and had to solve puzzles. I think you were a raccoon or some other semi-anthropomorphic forest animal There's also a mission where you have to dress up as various ants/bugs to get into their nest, avoid being caught by either faction and solve a puzzle/retrieve an item. I remember playing this whilst at a kids club when I was younger and have been trying to find it with no luck for years.

Would be immensely thankful if anyone can identify this.

I remember enjoying this game quite a bit back when I was around 6 or 7, it's either an turn based or real time strategy game from around the early/mid 2000s. I'm learning toward saying it was turn based, because I think I remember it having grid-based movement
It was a free game on GameTap, back when it had tons of free games.

I'd like to revisit it now that I actually have a mind for strategy, but I can't rediscover the game, and all I remember of it is your troops are in squad of around 1-9 units.

Particularly I remember one of my units being able to summon Treants into the front line of the squad.
If you've ever played Yu-Gi-Oh Falsebound Kingdom the squads work similar to that, with each squad appearing on the map as a single unit, then the rest appear out of nowhere for the battles.

Off that, anyone have ideas as to what this game is?

Edit: Doh. How did I not see this thread? Sorry about that.
Bump

Yeah, Koudelka was my second guess. If i remember correctly the characters can switch weapons and aren't bound to a specific weapon. (It's a good game nonetheless!)

soo the game i'm looking for is pretty simple - you're on a chess like board, there are columns on both sides of the board and you have to climb stairs to get something or to reach a door to exit, but some weird figures follow you all the time and want to kill you. also i think if you reached the end you fall and die. that's all i remember, hope someone can help me :s

I've got two more, both were PS1 titles and this time I remember more about them so distinguishing them should be a little easier than the first game I asked about :p

1st game: You played as a man that worked inside an office building, with a grey suit and glasses (not 100% sure on the grey) and the premise of the game was avoiding various things that continuously went wrong, there was a segment where you were running away from a boulder or something inside of a hallway, and then you eventually ended up falling out a window and landing on a flagpole that you had to balance on to avoid falling off because you were pretty high up. Played it on a demo disc at one point but never took the name of the game down. Would to re-visit it now as it seemed like a pretty funny game at the time.

2nd game: Also played from a demo disc, it was a game about creating your own monster and then pitting it in battle against other monsters. It was 3D, and I know it wasn't Arc Arena. Seems like an easy enough premise to find out on my own, but I must be doing my Googling wrong since I had to come here to ask :p

Is it a top-down or side scrolling perspective? I'll guess "Raptor: Call of the Shadows" because I played that extensively enough as a kid and I remember it having what I considered to be desert levels, although I don't remember the intro you speak of so maybe not.
