Pretty sure that this is "Wild 9".Jordan Lahaye said:so i believe i played this when i was little on the ps1 and it was 2d style with 3d models i believe the guy had a bionic arm that could shoot lightning that grabbed robots and you could smash them against the ceiling and floor again and again untill they exploded or place them in a wheel grinder with spikes, the levels were different planets and you had a fully 3d segment where you did some sort of endless runner in a spaceship in a trippy place.
YES! This is the one! Thanks a lot! I hope to receive some advice about the other two too (especially the first oneRoman78 said:Second could be "Armed & Delirious" aka Dementia http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/armed-deliriousAstraldavezero said:Hi everyone,
glad to join this very nice forum!
So I was trying to remember the names of some games that I had seen/been playing during the past years.
1) This was found in an old demo-cd many years ago. It's kind of an old pc game (I am sure that cd is from the late 90s or the first year of 2000).
I don't remember many details. It was some kind of sports game. I THINK (but not 100% sure) that there were some prehistoric men that were in some kind of competition. In this competition, I remember they had to climb some kind of weird palace while a lot of strange things were falling from the sky (like bananas, chairs, and so on). You could of course dodge them and if you were it you fell down and forced to climb again.
2) An adventure point and click game in which you control an old lady and the riddles require some "lateral" thinking. It should have been called Dementia but probably I don't clearly remember the name, as I couldn't find anything on google (or probably I just didn't search well). I think the game was dated around 1998. Never played in person, I only clearly remember a review from a popular magazine here.
3) Always from 1996-1998 (probably from 1998), a 2d scrolling third person shooter. I can't remember much about it, but its setting was kind of futuristic. You probably controlled an android or something like that. Only for pc.
And that's all for now, thanks to everyone that will co-operate.
ABCDonuts said:I have this game. It's pixelated and has a set up kind of like final fantasy. Your from another world and you have a tail. You don't have any memories of your old life. I remember it saying stars or something like that in the title. I played it on a psp but it was emulated. Please help me!
Maybe Black and White http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_%26_White_%28video_game%29Albis Kfm said:Nope, not Settlers series games. It wasnt war game, more farming and building game. But thanks anyway!
omg this HAS to be it! the opening Cenematic comes really close to what I remember, if this isint it then my memory is worse then I thought. Thank you so much! I've been looking for this game for over a decade!diablo rules said:There is another game with the "monster infection" mechanicsLordCasselstone said:been poking around and I'm convinced this is some sort of point and click Adventure Game, so I'm gonna comb through the list of 90's adventure games and see what comes up, but if anyone thinks they know what it is, feel free to drop a lineLordCasselstone said:I have been searching for this game as well and I'm glad to see I'm not the only person. The only other information I can give is that I remember the Intro cut scene mentioning the wilderness around the city where the monsters reside (the type of monster you will eventually turn into) and that despite the danger, people sometimes go out there to gather something, and this was one of the ways you got injured during an attack. Also, the city knows of the transformation and are hunting you down to kill you before you can transform. other then that, all I remember from the game was the beginning, a woman is letting you stay in her home cuz I believe she found you and brought you in, but before you progress, some city guards begin banging on the door, so you have to escape.=ady_arcade:

I have been getting crazy trying to remember this game. I even had a look at a tanking of more than 1000 games on the hope of remembering the name
If I do not remember wrong it is a pc game and it is set in medieval/phantasy context.
It is a third person game and I believe there were only melee weapons.
There is some sort of coup d'etat in the beginning of the game.
The main character which is some sort of guard, is then injured and cursed with a disease which slowly turns him into a monster. After you have been infected you are allowed to use some special moves but when you do so, your transformation in this darkness creature is accelerated. When transformation is complete you lose.
I remember playing it a long long time ago, so I think it's a game developed at some point in the 90s.
CAn somebody help??????????????
Thank you very much, this is really driving me nuts!
Could be Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9mVBQQi_YA
Hi,
First, thank you very much for the reply! Unfortunately it is not Soul Reaver, I am almost sure it's a pc game. Also, the main character is a city guard or something, which is poisoned during an attack to the city. After that he has this disease that will transform him into a monster eventually. He has to find a cure while at the same time fight someone who is trying to take over the city.
Thanks again though for trying!!! Anyone else has any idea what game I talking about??
If there is anyone who can give a few ideas on what this game is, I'm sure both of us would greatly appreciate it.
(so far, its not Legacy of Kain, and it's not Nightmare Monsters 2)
Dark Earth (1997)

is kinda post-apocalyptic or steampunk and some points of your description (and the ones that you quoted) seem to fit to this game. Check it out!

Never posted here, only made an account for this topic specifically.
Some 20-odd years ago I played a demo of a game that I was never able to finish and later on lost in the deep abyss that is my collection of various hard-drives.
All I remember is that this was a dos game, early-to-mid 90's, which resembled an action-adventure type game. I'm not sure if this game had free movement or grid-based movement, but I do know the scheme was a bit like System Shock (e.g. use mouse to aim and interact with the environment, click to move around etc.)
You start off in a near-pitch-black cave, some rather well made rock-wall or brick-wall type textures, with very life-like/photo-realistic sprites. This engine had textured floors and roofings, as well as different elevated sprites, so it must have been mid 90's.
You wake up next to, if I remember correctly, a well and a skeleton and possibly several torches around the room and walls, the cave wasn't just a simple square room but actually had some shape to it. There's a puzzle you need to solve here, or at least an interaction you need to perform which gives you a rifle of some description with about 3-7 shots. Next, a pack of rats attacks the player which he needs to fend off... what happens next, I can't remember. It might even have been the end of the demo.
SECOND REQUEST
I am looking for a game in the time between duke nukum and duke nukem 2, where you play a man/teen... Err... Collecting objects?
In fact, I remember very little of the game, the only thing I do know is that you start out on what appears to be a rooftop with a fence around it (against jumpers) and there's some big dome and blue cloudy skies in the background, parallax scrolling as you fall onto/into the building. I think this might even have been in the early VGA era
Quite litteraly the only thing I remember is that the body of the player was anatomically correctly animated and the guy probably wore jeans with a gray shirt. I wish I knew more. Might have been that you collect soda/coke bottled for points and fight robots or something.
That is exactly it! Thank you so much.thoughtwrangler said:First one is called Growlanser, specifically Growlanser II as part of the Growlanser Generations package for PS2. It was definitely an interesting tactics game, and the idea to allocate power to different spell castings was quite unique.jlw777 said:I'm looking for two games. The first being a ps1 or a ps2 game.
All I can remember is the following.
>Was an RPG
>Main character used a scythe or it was an option.
>Looked like a tactics game but not sure if it was.
>There was a spell that you could use on multiple targets where a huge trident would come through the clouds and just wreck stuff.
The second one I think was on the ps1, I remember the console being white.
>Main character I think had white hair with a hat.
>Wakes up from a tomb in a temple with no memory.
>I think he used an axe.
>When he leaves temple some lady?person finds him and they go to a wooden cabin out in the snow.
>Then some monster comes and kills the person and he gets angry and he had a diamond shape in his forehead.
>Last thing I can remember is a girl who used magic using two big golden bracelets around her wrists.
The second one was called Threads of Fate, originally released as Dewprism in Japan. It was a fun action RPG, if a bit short. But the two playable characters made things rather fun![]()
Anything?jimmmyhero said:There's a lot to go through here so hopefully I'm not asking about a duplicate.
There was a MS DOS game I used to play as a kid, it was like a board game. You played as a monster type of creature vs. another monster on either side of the board. Your goal was to take all of their monsters. I forget the mechanics of it, but the monsters seemed like they were made out of clay. You could move a space by separating yourself to create a smaller weaker version. Or you could move the monsters into the same space to power it up. The monsters you could control had a theme and there were quite a few of them as well as multiple different board to play on.
Anyone have a clue what the name is?
2.- It should beBloodSword said:Hi,
First:
I'm looking for an old arcade game. I remember playing it in the early to mid 90's.
It was a side scroller where character walks and can jump and hit boxes with his head for bonuses (It is not Mario please calm).
He could fight the enemies by shooting them and trapping them in bubbles. You have to jump on the bubbles to finish them or to reach higher places in the level.
I remember that in the very first level you had to trap several enemies and jump on the bubbles they are in, in order to climb kind of pyramid with boxes in order to reach some reward on top.
Second:
It's a PS1 game I believe it was on a disk with 5 or 7 games. I'm pretty sure it was full game but not 100% sure. I played this one somewhere in early 2000 It's like a first person shooter but I think you can only turn left and right and you can't look up. Most of the levels were maze like I believe. One thing I remember very well is the radar to detect enemies. You start with one that only detects what's in front of you later you get upgrade to detect what's behind as well and the last is full 360 degree detection. There where levels that you had to find objects like bombs or something and bring them to command room within time limit.
Thanks.
The gameplay was similar to sega genesis action games of the time. Such as vectorman, Jurassic Park: Rampage, etc. Just older looking. Kinda like Contra.floppydisc said:Hi all. Great work you are doing here. I was really hoping that someone would be able to help me determine the name of this really old game.
-My information is unfortunately very limited.
-I most likely played it between 1994-1998. (Played it before the movie small soldiers came out). Most likely through DOS.
-I played it on a floppy disk.
There are two very specific parts of it I remember
-You had enemies that waddled around kinda like giant mutated frogs that couldnt hop.
-It was a sidescroller, in one zone you were in a forest type area
-> I remember collecting some kind of bottle in this zone and either transforming or getting some skills
-There was another zone where you were navigating tunnels in a little spherical submarine type thing under water I believe.
- I played it around the same time I played the lion king on floppy which was released in 1994.
And for what it is worth, the last time I attempted to run it, was around the time Harry Potter 1 came out on PS1(2001).
I would really like to find this game unfortunately I must have been between 3-5 years old when I played it, so if there are any old game connoisseurs, or someone with incredible memory, please help me out!
I actually dont remember what console. Ive spent some much time looking for this game, Went through any rpg list (Dont see why it wouldnt be classified as a rpg) I could find between 2003-2008. I dont see why I couldnt find it, It was overall a amazing game. 3d the combat was in encounters but it wasnt turn based. Great story with the player getting to make decisions that alter the game. Im begging and praying someone remembers this game.ImxOddish said:Hello, Theres one game I cant remember for the life of me. It was a console game (playstation or xbox) It was a rpg type game, Swords and magic, I remember it had a pretty unique combat system for its time. I remember you were a young kid and your father was a famous mercenary or knight that went missing,I remember the first mission you go out and you're a new recruit and you have to escort the caravan to another kingdom that live in a forest or tree. Im pretty sure if you lost a fight you lost the game... The whole point of the game was to do random bountys and quests and towards the end get all the kindgoms to help each other or choose to destroy some of them. I remember the main town being invaded on the bridge entrance, And I remember the chubby little red headed guy is one of your companions and we have to fight his father (who has a red mohawk) outside of the (dwarf?) kingdom nearing the end. I remember at the end the girl that was with you throughout the game turns out to be cursed and you have to choose to kill her or sacrifice the kingdoms I think? And thats part of the reason your dad and your friends father were missing.. Im sorry if this has been horribly put together but Ive been trying to figure this out of a long time and any help would be appreciated! EDIT: Whatever the curse was effected all the kingdoms and your father and the red heads were trying to hide it and protect everyone.I thing the girl was the princess and you were trying to find her in the begining maybe. god this is bugging me RE-EDIT: I believe the combat was once you got into a encounter your companions would form up depending on the tactic you chose before hand, It wasnt turn based. Im also pretty sure you could beat people around town (one I remember specifically was next door to the inn there were two knights in a training room type place) they would sometimes be available to put in your party. Any help would be greatly appreciated, It was maybe 7 or so years ago and Im pretty desperate and if you think you could help me out I could even tell some other little random details I remember here and there..
