Hello,

I have been trying to find the name of a game that I remember playing as a child. This would have been around the year 1987 or so. This was a game for either Mac or Apple II and it was on a floppy disk. I only played this game at school, as my family did not have a computer. The game was called something like "ZaZu Come Home", but that's not the right name as I have never been able to find any info on it. Here is what I remember about the game:

* There was a title screen that I believe had purple as a background. I remember the word ZaZu or something like it. This made me think of the "ZuZu's petals" from It's A Wonderful Life (the name of the little girl in that movie), only it was different. But I remember asking my teacher if the word "ZaZu" was the name of that character and she corrected me. So I am 95% that a word similar to "ZaZu" is involved in the name of this game.

* The point of the game was to rescue someone (ZaZu) or find that person. The player was on an alien planet, I believe.

* The game was based on creating things using different potions. The potions were all new elements that were discovered on this alien planet. Combining different elements creates different objects. Some objects were useful and some were not. It was a turn based game, so when you told the computer what you wanted to do next and what elements you wanted to combine, the computer would then tell you if the object got you past the obstacle and onto the next level or if you wasted your turn with an object that did not work in the situation.

* For instance, combing the rubber element (called something like Rubberium) with the air element (called something like Airium) would create a tire?and that would be useful in getting around an obstacle. But combining the rubber element with the fire element (called something like Flamium or Fireum) would just make stinky burning rubber smell.

* The point was to be clever and combine the elements in ways that would create the right object for the situation that would get you around whatever obstacle. I never beat the game or got very far into it, so I don't know what other elements there were.

This game was one of only a few that we had at my school. The floppy disks and computer were brand new and expensive at the time, and it was a big deal to be able to play this game. The only other games available to play were Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego and some math games. The ZaZu game was purely a fun game. The teacher would use it as a prize if you were good in class and you got to play on the computer with this game for 30 minutes or whatever as your special prize.

Does anyone remember the name of this game?

I can't find this old RPG game.I remember playing it when I was really young so it's in between 90's and 2000s , you played a human or elf i cant tell due to the graphics , it was third person , i THINK (not sure) you had to eat chicken to heal , you it was not really open world it was quite linear , you changed levels through portal I believe , there was once a level early where you were like in this Aztec area where you had to help (I THINK) this lizard man and you would later find him after exiting a dungeon and i think it was like a mine because I remember minecarts and stuff , i think you wielded a sword and I'm not sure about a bow , i think the last boss was like in a dark castle and was a mage ,i remember having huge monsters too maybe dinosaurs and there was another level in like a lava castle. The first level was in a city and it was quite dark and filled with boxes all over the place and looked like Heretic 2 a little. This was literally the first game I ever played. I also remember the CD case was red but this might change depending on the country. PLEASE HELP ME ANYBODY! I played it on PC btw.

An old text adventure game, though with some still graphics. Pretty sure this was a DOS game. Involved a marooned spaceship.

I seem to recall there being two characters you could switch between, a human (who is at first the only playable character) and a robot, who becomes playable when you repair it and find a battery for it.

I think the plot revolved around repairing their spaceship and escaping some planet.

I remember when you entered the same room as the other character a message would come up saying "*name* is here!". Sadly I don't remember the name of the human or the robot, otherwise this might be easier to search for!

Thanks!

Hey guys, not sure if this one has been said yet but I'm actually looking for 2 games that I played MANY years ago.

They were both browser based games as I remember playing them on my old WebTV way back in the mid to late 90's.

The first game I believe was called 2001 City, but looking online I cannot find a single thing on this game. The objective was you click on different buildings to gain a set of 4 numbers that is the code to disarming a bomb. The bomb was in an apartment. You could see the buildings but it might have been text based as well, or at the very least, it let you select things to tell people. I remember one of the houses you go to had a mean guy with a shotgun that if you messed with him, he'd shoot you and it was game over.

The second game was in space. You visited different planets and got all these clues to do something with an alien space ship. There was a user name and password you had to find. I'm kinda sketchy on this one but if I remember right it had the name Alien in the title.

Any help finding these would be well appreciated!

I remember a game, I think it was on the PS1, where you could chose some sort of a creature and had to fight in an arena against another creature.
It was a pure real-time action game in 3D.
The battleground was square-shaped, but with an interesting architecture (like highs and lows and different "environments"). But these arenas weren't too big.
The view was settled from a high angle, but I don't think the camera rotated while fighting.
I remember one of the creatures could lay eggs which would hatch and you got some support from the hatchlings (but I don't remember if these where combo-moves or just simple buttons).
There was also some sort of an insect, a praying mantis, ant or something similar and a dinosaur as well i think. Also I reckon there was some sort of shark.
And it was definitely a game for adults.

I remember it being a pretty nice game, especially when you fought against a friend, but that was almost 20 years ago and thats all I can recall ;/

Any help would be great!

That sounds very similar to Mail Order Monsters, but that came 10 years before the PS1 existed. I played that on the Commodore 64.

Not much information on this one but it was a sega megadrive game. would have been mid to late 90's. I think it had an isometric overhead camera and I think you were some kind of tank and you were killing aliens on different alien worlds. I seem to remember there being a lot of bullet spam... but I cant really remember much else at all. Thanks in advance if anyone figures it out.
Sounds like Granada. Is it Granada? It's probably Granada [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gumrrcLD2Bo].
The game I'm thinking seems to very similar to that but looking through some videos it just doesn't seem to ring any bells. Any games similar to Granada?
I think the only game from that era that I've played, which had tanks in it, was Ikari Warriors, which isn't even close.

Check out this page [http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/granada/granada.htm] for some more screens. It also lists three similar games at the very bottom: Guardian Force, Aurail, and Sub-Terrania (Zyrinx Profile).

Hey, I remember a game for psx, I was playing it something around year 2000, was a kid back then so not all information stated by me may be true:
-It was a medieval-fantasy strategy.
-A main hero/unit troop type was cavalery.
-You were fighting against undeads(of this I'm pretty sure), maybe other humans too- can't remember.
-You could collect various items on battle map- I think they would grant you access to some spells.
-Battles similar to the ones from Total War.
-Between battles your main unit would say something/talk to someone and you had a decision where to go?

And that's all I remember.. I would be grateful if anyone would be able to help.

The game I am looking for is a ps2 game. It was a turn based fantasy medieval game. Im pretty sure the end game goal was to find the place where the treasure was, but you recruited different units all over the place and you could siege towers and lands. I could better describe it like this

"My forgotten game is an old ps2 game. It was a RPG turn based strategy game. What you did was ride on a horse fighting creatures and recruiting people for your squad like thing. When you were riding on your horse it wasn't 1st person it was super zoomed out and when you ran into an enemy it would zoom into a mini square-like battlefield. Then you would take turns moving your characters around and attacking. I think you made money by killing enemies and then spent it on buying new people for your squad. I remember you could buy archers and orcs. It was a medieval time game. That's pretty much all I remember."

Thank you @DiabloRules!

That is totally the game I was thinking of, MIssion: MIx-up! I even remember that cover art for the box or whatever it came in. My teacher had that and the disks were inside.

Now, I just need to figure out that ZaZu part of it. Would like to find more on the game and learn what the story was and how that ZaZu fit in, or if I'm just misremembering that part somehow.

Thank you so much for figuring this out!!!!

I am trying to find the name for a game I played probably early to mid 1990's. It was a PC game that we never finished as we only had half the floppy disks. In my memory it was called something like "Darkness". I remember being outside a house and you could go in and walk around. There was a freaky dog that barked at you and I remember a woman laying in a pool of blood. I remember the screen being mostly blue when you were outside the house. You had to go around and try to find clues or something?? Not sure. Would really love to finally put a name to these random bits of memory. It's possible the game was Australian as we got it from an uncle there.

That sounds like Planetfall.

Trying to find an old game I played 7-8 years ago. Do not remember much, but it looked like this: you appear in some castle. You have gloves with spikes as a start weapon. There are spiders, catapults and ballistas in this castle. You can interact with certain objects... Unfortunately, that's all I could remember. Thanks in advance.

No, thank you, but I checked out Planetfall, that's definitely not it. There were significantly more graphics in the game I'm thinking of, I think every scene had a VGA computer generated image with it.

Hello guys!

I think this will be a very difficult one. In this game u are a boy who has amnesia since his little age, because your birthplace got attacked by some black knights i think, and u had a little girl friend who gave u a necklace maybe, and now u meet her again or i don't know and start to help her, u get to a ship where u have to fight with the captain to go to somewhere, and in the end u are in a flying castle and before the boss fight one of your mates get killed, and the boss is behind a big door which takes several days to unlock, on the day when u open it u are the lost one to get there and u find all of your friends wounded/dead on the floor. I think that's all.

I hope u can help me because I liked this game a lot and it makes me crazy i don't remember it's name.
