Hi,

I was talking to a friend a few minutes ago who is into the same type of games as I am, and I'm trying to tell him of a game that I don't remember the name of, and by description alone the game doesn't ring any bells to my friend. I even googled this but couldn't find anything about this old game (it was released in the 90s).

So, anybody here that can help me remember it? Here's all I remember about this game: it was a combat/fighting type of game (the genre of Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc.), and I think (not sure, but I think) it even had the word "fighter" in it somewhere (again, I'm not sure about this, but it could be true).

Also, what really impressed me at that time was the scenarios in which the fights took place. Again, I might be wrong but if I'm not then absolutely ALL scenarios were being fought in a 3D glass cube, or something like that. I'm not sure that 3D technology was available in the 90s, but if it wasn't, then let me tell you that the game did look like 3D cause that glass cube could be moved 3D whenever opponents were smashed to its sides. At some point (depending on the impact of the hits) the cube would break and the 2 opponents would fight on a black screen (like in a vacuum or something) since there was no cube anymore. I also remember that at that time I had a really powerful computer, and yet, this game would crash frequently (sometimes wouldn't even load) because of its resource intensive requirements (which is why I'm inclined to say it was 3D, although my friend swears that there was no 3D technology at that time).

So yeah, if anyone has played this game before and knows what I'm talking about please tell me what name it has. It drives me insane. I've been thinking about this game for the last 12-13 hours and I can't get it out of my head. Moreover, I want to try and find it again to see if I can still play it on today's modern computers. I liked that game a lot, but I couldn't enjoy it fully because of the constant crashes.

It was called "super fight 2", "super virtual fighter 2", "super street fighter 2", or something like that. I'm not sure that it had a number at the end, but I am sure that it had either the word "fighter", or "super" somewhere in it. Also, there were no Street Fighter characters in it (or at least I don't remember of any), so it might not have anything to do with street fighter. But... I can't figure out what the freakin game was called.

So yeah... I hope I can get this out of my head soon cause it depletes me of energy trying to figure out its bloody name
Anybody who knows what I'm talking about?? A true fan of asian combat (MK, SF) type of games could remember this game...

3.- Sounds like

Hellnight (1998)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XdIP8WE0ZY
Nope, it wasn't Hellnight

It was on a PAL demo disc for NZ/AUS.
And I'm pretty sure it was a survival horror that you couldn't fight back in.
The goal was to avoid being seen fullstop I'm pretty sure.

But I'm more interested in knowing the name of the Commodore 64 game the most.
But thanks for the effort :)

Hi, sry for my english :)

My friend asked me about this game on pc and it seems cool but he can't remember the name of it.
So here is what I know about the game: -You can play as 2 characters you can switch to the one you want, a sniper or a rifleman and I think he said u can also play as a general in some missions but I'm not sure.
-The first mission u play as the sniper on the side of a river and I think u can swim in it.
-When an enemy hears u or knows of your presence it turns yellow(on the minimap i think) and when it sees u it turns red
-Not quite sure but I think the enemies are triangles on the minimap
-I also think that one of the characters can steal enemy uniforms as a disguise
-And I think he said the game takes place in world war 1 or 2

Hope u can help me, we rly want to play this game. (He said it's not conflict denied ops)
That one has to be "Commandos: Strike Force" (2006), an FPS spin-off of the Commandos RTS series.

That's it I think :))

I guess no one can think of the games I asked about.
Ah well.
I think I may have stumbled upon your Megaman-like game... could it be Panzer Bandit [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLuxAzCdlKo]?

EDIT: Also, for the C64 game... I can't seem to find a proper video of it, but could it be Adrenalin [http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemon64.com/games/list.php%3Fgenre%3DShoot%2527em+Up]?

Hello experts. :) I request your assistance in ascertaining the name of a vintage video cartridge game (and system it was played on).

This game was on a console system, that was one of the "graphics ahead of it's time" systems, that seemed to die a quick death.
The game itself involved flying in space (or at least not on the ground) you kind of hover there, but the graphics make it appear like your character is moving forward in space (or on the surface of some planet), on an alien-like terrain. When you press left on the pad you went left and up, kind of in a semi-circle, and when you pressed right, your character also went right and up, in a semicircle - like pattern, while you shoot at enemies. The object is to move through increasingly enemy-filled levels, and once in awhile, you will be flying and a huge boss character will loom in the distance, which gets closer and closer, and larger and larger, until at last you have to fight and beat it. Then the level changes, and the colors change, and you continue to fly forwards into a new level.

Assistance, is very greatly appreciated!! :)

i'm searching for a game that:
It was a 3d first person(shooter) modern & spcae game that there were i think 2 group of people in the game. One was green(or blue) that were human & the other one was red that were robots. In the story type game we were blue(or green) & the enemy was red. But in free game (or multy player i think) we could choose between these.
In story type we achived some new wepones in every level. & for example in last levels we hade a laser wepon that it coud shoot a laser & kill with one shoot. & the wepon was rotated in every shoot.
Also i remember that that buildings also had hp. & in free style game we shoud have destroyed the people & buildings & maybe cars
Please help. The game was really great
Sorry for my english

This is known as a 'tunnel shooter' or 'tube shooter', the first being Tempest, and there are thousands of variants out there. One of the earliest was Gyruss (1983), but it doesn't fit your description, apart from the movement of the ship, the 'enemy waves' and the end-of-level boss.

You are absolutely correct! The game I am thinking of is a "Tube-Shooter"! I viewed the Tempest vid, the graphics on he game I am thinking of are a bit more complex, and there is a lot more color, and it appears in the game I am thinking of, as though the character is flying forward, as terrain appears to pass you by, and things in the distance get bigger, until you have to fight them.

This game also came out on an obscure system, which I am also trying to figure out the name of. :)

Hello, I remember playing a Demo on Ps2, that the demo was passed on the streets at night, and you approached people and fought them, then at the end of the fight or in the middle (I don?t remember) you could recruit them, and they would help you in your next fights. I also don?t remember if the fights were individual or in group. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I came home today and remembered a ps1 game i played more than 10 years ago, and it is like this:

You are a guy that has a basic sword, start in a town, with a small shop that you can buy armor/weapons and you must use your gold to save the game. It is not a turn-based, but fast paced game, you can enter a dungeon and start killing monsters to farm gold, and descend more in the dungeons. There are some stair in the town that leads you to the level 8 dungeon which has a super strong bear monster.

Maybe it has a japanese name. The physical disc had a blue background with the guy on it.

Thats all i remember, hope you can help me guys!!

Thank you, I remember it being 3D, but I'll look through this/play the game just to make sure.

Nope, after watching a dozen more Megaman videos I got the nostalgia fuzzies from Megaman 8 (After watching the Clown Boss a few times)Sorry about that.

As for Adrenalin, it's not that one.
The enemies came down from the top of the screen and it was rather well detailed and all the enemies were large bugs or aliens.
It also had fast paced technoish music playing throughout the game.

Could it be Tempest 3000 for the Nuon? That's about as obscure a system as I can think of.
