Similar to Myst, etc, in terms of puzzles, graphics, and atmosphere.
I played it on the PC. Not sure if 90s or 00s. I don't have much to go on so Googling it and asking around has been a nightmare.
A forest, at night. A bright moon in the sky. Many consecutive left, right, choices, etc. I had them memorised as a kid. Traversing through the maze would, I think, lead to a tower. I know you climb a tower at some point. As in, you scale the side of it. It's first person. You either play no character, or a man.
I don't remember anything else but I asked my father and he said "It was basic, but atmospheric. You could click-wander for miles through forests, and up ladders into tree huts. The puzzles were very hard. I know I gave up."
