Witchhaven I.
Rebel Assault II.
The original Command and Conquer.
Puzzlequest.
Dungeon Keeper.
Quake I.
The original Doom.

The list goes on.
(Oddly enough, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 works just fine)

I'd like to play Thief 1 and 2, as well as System Shock 2, but sadly I doubt they would work on my laptop.

UT, it works, but its damn near unplayable online and off.
You my friend, need this

http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/

The default D3D renderer is tripe, switch it over the the UTGLR one in the ini... bosh. Working UT99. Had to look it up a while ago, it was utterly horrific in Windows XP, which is weird since i originally played it in 2000, then XP, haven't tried in Windows 7 yet though.

I think it is because DirectX has changed alot in that time, i'm not really 100% sure. But OpenGL hasn't really changed alot, and OpenGL2 is completely back compatible with OpenGL anyway... all is good with that anyway.

Enjoy your fragging.
i heard it was because vista has a different memory managemt system compaired to xp and previous or mabie that was the newer direct x with the diff mem management or something like that, i cant remeber the exact details now, anyway thanks ill give this a try.

Mechwarrior 2.
I loved that game to such inhumane levels that after we got a new mac that wouldn't run it, I eventually started having dreams of it working, in increasingly stupid "solutions", IE "Install it through Dosbox, on a PS1, then copy the files to a computer", or some other idiotic situation.
Finally I ran into an old computer that'd run it, and I was happy from then on.
THE END.

My screen's too big for Total Annihilation. I can't handle seeing the intro scene with giant yellow boxes instead of KBots :(

Tie Fighter was hard to get to work, but I figured out a fix and it worked.

You install the game on a XP machine and copy the files to your vista machine, this usually works with OLDER GAMES. Farcry worked the same way.

The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. I have the game downloaded from the Bethesda site, but it still won't work. Have DOSbox and everything. =-/
