He did. You're on the Escapist so I assume you've played RPGs before. He has not only created that feeling of wonder and adventure, but given many people a goal. Not to mention you actually get to keep what you find, and it has an impact on your real world lifestyle, instead of adding +2 to damage. (I've been playing RPGs recently)

But seriously, how many times could you go out and seek fortune in the real world? If I weren't agoraphobic I would already be on a bus to New Mexico.
