I'm posting this mostly out of curiosity of the old school monsters (Dracula, Werewolf/Wolfman, Mummy etc.) which one is your favorite? Why?

For me it's the Headless Horseman, he kills people with flaming jack o'laterns, he's headless and just seems to be awesome however he's depicted (including the WoW one where he flies around taunting in verse and lighting things on fire).

Horseman is a favourite of mine too, I love the stoy of Sleepy Hollow.

Im going to have to say the Wolfman. He couldve basically been anyone, your dad, your uncle, your brother and you wouldnt know it. He was also kinda like a herrion addict, he'd be fine during the day but at nigh thats when his demons would come and he would have no control over himself.

Hm. Zombies.

If that doesn't count, then definitely Dracula. I loved the book, plus I'm a big fan of non-sparkling vampires.

I've always liked Dracula. I still need to see the old Bela Lugosi movie, but the character's always had a mystique about him, a kind of elegant yet dangerous and evil demeanor.
I loved his performance in Symphony of the Night. I don't think I've been able to say "human" quite the same since...

I'm partial to mummies since, according to the Law of Separation, They're a couple degrees away from Goa'uld, and a few steps away from Kevin Bacon.

I like the Wolfman because he is a tragic victim of a mix of unnatural instincts and human persecution. Besides I typically wnjoy Werewolf movies more than a lot of other horror movies (Ginger Snaps, an American Werewolf in London, the Howling, Dog Soldiers and others like that) I just generally think Werewolf as a concept is a very interesting and ultimatley tragic one, that as I said details human cruelty and animal nature intertwined at its core and the ultimate suffering of an innocent victim trapped within.

EDIT: Also totally forgot to mention Frankenstein's monster. So yeah, him too.

.... Shub-niggurath?

Seriously though probably werewolves in general, wolfman and modern renditions too. Apart from the Twilight/Underworld versions.

I'd typically go with werewolves... But, depending on which type of mummy we're talking about here, I would go with that.

I hope you're talking about powerful mummy magi who have the beasts of the sands, and thousands of undead at their disposal..

Count Dracula.

Stereotypical vampires make me smile. I'm not actually sure how Dracula actually acts in the novel, but presumably living in a castle and terrorising a neighbouring village came into it somewhere.

After all, he's supposedly the prototype for (some) modern vampires.

Dracula and Frankenstein's monster, but only because they were played by Belo Legosi and Boris Carloff.

Ghosts. Old school guy in a white sheet type ghosts. They try so hard to be scary but fail so miserably. Also, it doesn't count, but I'm partially to the grim reaper. I like the look.

I like the original Frankenstein's Monster from the Novel. Poor dude being butt-ugly.
Actually he was so inhumanly ugly that even a butt would run away from him. Yet he was good on the inside(mostly).

How sad is it that my "old-school monsters" are the blob and killer tomatoes. The rest have never appealed to me, although vampire movies made in the early 90's and on do have some appeal to me...though not Twilight....sorry.

Why am I immediately reminded of this when I think of old school monsters?

This game had all of them! Zombies, dracula, mummies, werewolves, Lagoon People, Crazy Lumberjacks,Tommy the evil doll, aliens, tentacles, giant babies, ants.. the list goes on and on. Quite fun too. Oh for a favorite, were wolf. Lupus!

The killer-kind of psychotic clown, Pennywise the Dancing Clown, or those Alien Clowns.

No-one who hates clowns couldn't agree that they're not monsters.

I gotta watch that movie again.
