Well, you read the question, what car would you pick?

I'd pick an 1966 Ford GT 40. I like the story behind the car and I think it's cool that it's America's first real super car.

1949 Ford Mercury, with a chopped top. There is just something about them, it was love at first sight :)

I'd pick a really expensive car so I could sell it off a buy a bug and have extra money. Bugs are just adorable cars, I want one so bad.

Okay, if it's limited to actual cars that exist in real life, and it has to be something that at least technically counts as a car, then I'll go with "The Beast". You know, Obama's indestructible super-limo.

If the "exists in real life" clause doesn't apply, I want the time-travelling DeLorean from Back To The Future.

If "technically counts as a car" doesn't apply, I want either a Caterpillar 797 or an Israeli Merkava.

All of those are ignoring fuel and maintenance costs, because those costs would be insane for any of those things.

As for insurance, I don't think I need to care except for the time machine, and it's difficult to collect on your insurance policy 50 years before the insurance company exists so that doesn't matter.

Time Traveling DeLorean is the main choice if reality is no object :)

A replica of the 1966 Adam West Batmobile would be my 2nd choice

Probally the most expensive car in the world...

So I could sell it, and buy a better Motorbike instead :) plus, the change from the sale would be nice.

Bugatti Veyron = 800,000
Triumph Street Triple = 9,000

Plenty of money left to get house, insurance, and have some fun.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro. I mean that car just does it for me, purest form of American muscle there is IMO

The 1940's Batmobile.

I'm not even that interested in cars, but I'd love to get behind the wheel of something as retro-awesome as that. It would definitely be a head-turner.

Is this assuming we can actually get it, and afford to keep it running? In that case...

M1114 HMMWV

Then I can qualify as a low-tier Captain Planet villain to some people.

I'd love to have a Blue Voltswagen Beetle with a white door, a green door and a red hood. (You get +1 internets for the reference).

Otherwise I'd like Cloud's bike from Advent Children. Or the Batmobile from The Dark Knight. Because showing up to work in that would be amazing.

(As you can probably tell, I have no interest in real life cars >.>)

Among cars that actually exist on the market:

2012 Mercedes SLS AMG

If given a slightly wider selection, gimme something a bit like the "spinner" here:
