I've got a guns-centric character, an energy weps character, and an unarmed/melee weaps character. Which would you guys recommend I run through this DLC with first?
Wait till you start fighting the Robo-scorpions....SeriousIssues said:I've loved all of the scenery even though I'm just leaving the sink tank in my own little direction, but the first thing I realized was that the lobotomites are hard to kill. Like REALLY hard to kill.
This is neither. It's wide open in a huge area, full of stuff to explore and has some hilarious characters. Much better than the first two.DannyJBeckett said:I'm probably not going to get it. Dead Money was needlessly constrictive, and Honest Hearts was just shit.
Yep. Even on Normal some of the fights are bastard hard... scorpions and skull dudes are tough as nails.AlternatePFG said:Jesus, my character is level 40 and this DLC is hard as hell (Granted I am playing on hard but still) Lobotomites have freaking brush guns and shiskebabs, and take quite a few shots before going down.

First thing I thought when I saw the lobotomites is that they are very well equipped to kill. It's quite a challenge, my armour broke and then my back up armour broke, so woeful.AlternatePFG said:Jesus, my character is level 40 and this DLC is hard as hell (Granted I am playing on hard but still) Lobotomites have freaking brush guns and shiskebabs, and take quite a few shots before going down.
You find the guy camped out on the roof? I wonder if that's a reference to The Burbs.AlternatePFG said:I've found a new appreciation of the Gatling Laster. Found one of the corpse of those skeleton-things and it's really helpful for weearing down those scorpions. I got into a fight with like 15 lobotomites and skeleton-things and somehow survived, don't ask me how.
I think I'm going to finish all the quests, go back to the Mojave to resupply then return because I'm running out of supplies VERY fast.
Edit: Did anyone else find Higgs Village to be VERY creepy? I just felt paranoid the entire time I was in it, no enemies, dark houses. Felt like something out of Silent Hill.
Actually, no. I just kinda sweeped through the houses and got out as fast as I could. xD I have a quest that tells me to go back there, so I'll probably check it out.DustyDrB said:You find the guy camped out on the roof? Same voice actor(dr. Venture odviously) also a nod to venture brothers with wild wasteland perkToTaL LoLiGe said:It's great, but the thing that gets me is the lack of stimpacks that you can buy at the table. I'm running low on stims I've got 19 left. The K9000 is great. Best DLC for NV. I haven't even finished a quest yet on this dlc. Upgraded the sonic emitter and it's awesome.
I also got a venture bros vibe from it.ruedyn said:DOCTOOOOOOR VENTURE! Or someone who at least sounds like him. Haven't really started the main quest just looking for Ulessyse's.
It is indeed James Urbaniak. I damn near fell out of my chair laughing when I realized that 0 was basically Dr Venture.SeriousIssues said:Penis feet. Haha.

I just gotI know, is that Doc Hammer? It sounds like him, but could easily not be.ruedyn said:DOCTOOOOOOR VENTURE! Or someone who at least sounds like him. Haven't really started the main quest just looking for Ulessyse's.
Yep. I saw it coming at me and laughed at it. Then I shot it a few times and saw its health barely go down...and then it swiped at me. And then I stopped playing around and switched to the Dog gun).AlternatePFG said:Did anyone find the pet Deathclaw Stripe hiding in the dog house in Higgs Village? That thing had a ton of health.
Oh yeah, I just found that one.DustyDrB said:Yep. I saw it coming at me and laughed at it. Then I shot it a few times and saw its health barely go down...and then it swiped at me. It is a Wild Wasteland thing. There are some great Wild Wasteland moments in this. The one I mentioned earlier (in spoiler tags) was my favorite.
