Older games that aged well. (strictly talking about graphics)

Isometric games like Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape Torment, and Fallout 2 still look nice. A few months ago, I even would have gone so far as to say they are aesthetically more pleasing than most modern RPGs, but then I played Witcher 2.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. What can I say? I love big, epic vistas.

When I think about, Wind Waker seems to fit this criteria. Considering it's so stylized via cel-shading, it just simply looks good even after these years. Also, while I would say it doesn't look as good, Okami.

Hoping that this fits into 'old games' category, "Jade Empire". Considering its age it still looks great.

World of Warcraft has aged pretty well in my opinion. The slightly cartoony design works really well even today, without limiting the ability to make "cool" or "epic" looking things.
Not sure if it's cheating though, since it has gotten a few graphics upgrade since release, I just don't know where and how much. I think it's just a few spell effects and water.

I started playing Oblivion again and was pleased with how it looks, its not THAT old compared to the other titles you guys are mentioning but still...not too shabby.

On that note the previous Elder Scrolls game, Morrowind looks fantastic for a previous generation Xbox game.

No one said Crysis yet? Huh.
Remember it's 4 years old by now.
Still haven't seen more awe-striking graphics.

I feel 16-bit games have aged pretty damn well, compared to early polygonal 3D games on the N64/PS1 at least, especially Super Castlevania IV (it still looks good).

Honorable mention to World of Warcraft, although they do touch it up a fair bit.

Off the top of my head, Megaman X and Pokemon Stadium 1-2.

Megaman X having the charm of 16 bit yet still keeping the grimdark future in a colorful world.

Pokemon Stadium 1-2 just simply amaze me seeing how a N64 game could sitll look wonderful today. I guess you can thank the style the games are in for that.

Total Annihilation has aged not too badly, considering it came out... in 1997. Seriously though, I think the graphics are aesthetically pleasing enough, despite its age. KOTOR has aged fairly well I think.

the nintendo 64 rareware games all seem pretty good, DK64, banjo kazooie and tooie, others like mario64 and super smash bros too.

but i'm not much of a graphics snob, so i don't really know what constitutes 'good' by internet standards.

edit: games like the Command and conquer Tiberian sun & Red Alert 2, and rollercoaster tycoon(1 and 2), i think they still look pretty good.

Diablo II still looks decent enough. Half Life 2 is still okay to look at. The first two Fallout games are still pretty decent, for RPGs.

Does the Ico + Shadow of The Colossus HD collection count, seeing as there were only minor updates to their graphics? Ico (2001) still looks pretty decent while Shadow of The Colossus (2005) could seriously pass as a PS3 game.

Okami's art style makes it timeless in terms of graphics.

EDIT: It's also unbelievable that Half-Life 2 came out in 2004.

I cannot play KotOR at all anymore, not sure why. Maybe it's cause it feels out of date after having played through Mass Effect (I know it's not really that similar but still). Shame too, since when I played it originally, it was my first Bioware RPG so I just headed straight for the ending and didn't really do any of the side stuff and now I realized I missed out on a lot.

Agree with Half Life 2. Gears of War is still pretty good. Racedriver Grid, Midnight Club LA.

Battlefield 3 absolutely trumps Crysis now.
