After seeing the somewhat recent thread of remaking older games, I looked through my old collection on a whim and found so perfect, I wondered why it hadn't been re-made: One Must Fall 2097. It had everything: great music, awesome gameplay (both competitive and casual depending on re-hit mode), 3 different kinds of fatalities (scrap, destruction, and fire & ice), 10 different robots (and players), and probably the best feature, the tournament mode, replete with a cheesy stock announcer and an old trainer. Even though I know it's freeware now, it boggles my mind that someone hasn't done a remake, fixing a few things (like no more 100% combos -_-), adding like an online tournament mode, and released it on Xbox Live or another video game marketplace.

This is a slightly different thread than the other: I'm asking which games do you think would be perfect for marketplaces, not just re-made (b/c One must fall battlegrounds sucked). What games would you want to see?

A few videos for your viewing pleasure btw:

Freedom Fighters.

That game was designed to have like 24 players or something.
YES. I loved Freedom Fighters. So much. Or NBA Jam. That is my favorite sports game ever.

X-men 2 for the Genesis, and Team Buddies for the PSone. Those would be great with online co-op.
