Ive been digging through the shelves and I found Warrior Kings, an RTS from 2001, I Really adored this game and I've started playing it again, and now I'm just finding old games left, right and centre and playing over them again, these include:

Populous
Baldurs gate 1 and 2
Stronghold
Starcraft
Myth the fallen lords
Age of empires 1

I was just wondering, have any of you on here done something similar? or atleast what older games do you still play to this day?

Need For Speed: Most Wanted is the game I've probably got the most replay value out of, I keep coming back to it on and off. After however many years I'm still playing the first Mass Effect as well.

I've thrown away very few of my games since I started playing, so I got a fair few rolling around in my cupboard. Unfortunately I haven't had a working PC in about two years so it's made playing them difficult. I have, however, recently started getting old Xbox titles and playing them on my 360.
There obvious ones like Jade Empire and the Beyond Good and Evil HD release but I also recently grabbed KotOR II and have spent the past few days playing it constantly when I should have been doing a uni assignment. I'm gonna grab KotOR for the Mac as well (can you believe how long ago 2003 was?).

I went digging for my old shadow of colossus a few months ago and still love it.

Also Can't go wrong with the old N64 games.

Masters of Orion 2:
Probably THE 'classic PC game' I played the most of.
It was my main 4X game until GalCiv 2 came out.

Worms armageddon
I keep it on my USB stick at all times so when I have some time to kill I can just pop it into any nearby pc. It doesn't need internet access and since it's so old even crappy library pc's can run it. And between playing against friends and messing with the superweapons it could keep me entertained for WEEKS.

Warcraft 3
Would've uninstalled it ages ago if it wasn't for my buddy who still does warcraft 3/star wars battlefront 2 geekparties at his place every few months. And sometimes (usually right after one of those parties) I get that itch again and play a few rounds on battlenet. Strangely I seem to be getting better every time, even though I didn't play for months.

Final fantasy x-2
They say good memories last longer than bad ones and that's certainly true for this game. About a year after I was "done" with it I forgot the bad parts (derp cutscenes, horrible minigames,...) and only remembered the good parts (combat) and decided to once more try to get a perfect ending. I failed because of the annoying chapter system and gave up.(for a perfect ending there's loads of little things you can't miss and they all have to be done at a specific moment in the main story because you can't go back later. Even with a strategy guide it's easy to miss a few) But than, again about a year later, the bad memories faded once more and... you can guess the rest. This became a sort of yearly cycle for 3 years and I still couldn't finish it properly even once :S

Sadly,my mother "lost track" of my collection of retro games during the move. I miss the sound of me being informed that I'm unable to pay my creatures. I miss the thunderous bangs and zaps of the culmination of over four thousand years of total war. And,most importantly,I miss the VERY astute tactical observation of "The owls stopped hooting. We're surrounded" of a particular Lavitz Slambert.

They were good games. I miss them profoundly. I wish I could get my paws on them, again. At least the second gap is filled with SupCom 1.

Just went back though Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I've also spent a bit of time on Banjo-Kazooie lately, but I don't know if that counts seeing as I was playing it on XBLA.

Medieval II: Total War with the Stainless Steel 6.4 mod.

That mod makes it near perfection and endlessly replayable.
