Spacewar. You can't go back much further than that.
Tennis for Two. But that's not fair.

EDIT: Disclaimer, I never played Tennis for Two, the last time it was played was probably 25 years before I was born.. but It did exist.

Defender. My friend has the arcade machine in his game room. I think it came out in 1980, ten years before I was born. Pretty hard game, shame it doesn't work anymore.

Pong. Doesn't get much older than that. It was one of those dedicated Pong-only home machines.

Frogger. 1981.

Edit: After researching a bit, I realize the version of Frogger I played is probably not an '81 release, since I played it on an IBM PC. In which case the oldest game I can remember and check release date of is King's Quest I. 1983.

Gotta be some form of tag, that game is millions of years old. Even my dogs play it.

Tennis for Two and Spacewar/Computer Space are both older then Pong.. Tennis for Two was made in the 50s and used an oscilloscope, and was basically just a dot moving back and forth on a screen.. didn't even really have paddles, honestly I don't know how it was played

Spacewar was a physics simulation developed in a lab somewhere in the 60s. Nolan Bushnell saw it, decided to steal it (as the idea of Copyright protection of "video games" in the 60s wasn't even on the table, that would be introduced in the 70s with the invention of Pong actually).. put it into a box, charge people a coin to play it, and he called it Computer Space.. and it was a horrible bomb.. too complicated for most people to wrap their heads around.. 4 buttons, controlling deceleration and acceleration, shooting, moving, it was a mess.

Then Ralph Baer invented Video Tennis, which Nolan Bushnell stole again and called Pong. Big legal battle ensues (lolno), and Bushnell pays Baer some licensing Fees.. Baer teams up with Magnavox to release the Odyssey home console.. one of the very first home consoles.. I think only the Channel-F was older.. Bushnell released Pong in the arcades, it was a major hit, Atari exploded and became the fastest growing company in american history to that point (until the founding of Activision).

Pong for the Atari. I would say some other games that came out for the Intellivision. But the Atari is actually older by a year.
