Probably pong or somethin.
Don't know any videogame that came before it.
Tennis for Two and Spacewar/Computer Space are both older then Pong.. Tennis for Two was made in the 50s and used an oscilloscope, and was basically just a dot moving back and forth on a screen.. didn't even really have paddles, honestly I don't know how it was played
Spacewar was a physics simulation developed in a lab somewhere in the 60s. Nolan Bushnell saw it, decided to steal it (as the idea of Copyright protection of "video games" in the 60s wasn't even on the table, that would be introduced in the 70s with the invention of Pong actually).. put it into a box, charge people a coin to play it, and he called it Computer Space.. and it was a horrible bomb.. too complicated for most people to wrap their heads around.. 4 buttons, controlling deceleration and acceleration, shooting, moving, it was a mess.
Then Ralph Baer invented Video Tennis, which Nolan Bushnell stole again and called Pong. Big legal battle ensues (lolno), and Bushnell pays Baer some licensing Fees.. Baer teams up with Magnavox to release the Odyssey home console.. one of the very first home consoles.. I think only the Channel-F was older.. Bushnell released Pong in the arcades, it was a major hit, Atari exploded and became the fastest growing company in american history to that point (until the founding of Activision).
