I've been playing LOTS of old games especially PC, but really the one I've been playing that is the oldest is PONG, I mean can you even beat that?! not unless you have a submarine's radar and have Tennis for 2 in there so I guess I WIN! even though it's not a competition.

Haha nice timing just found my old SNES and N64 from up in the attic. Replayed Super Mario World (1990), Donkey Kong Country 2 (1995), Donkey Kong Country 3 (1996) and Banjo Kazooie (1998).

Surprisingly they all have aged well.

Sonic 1, 2 & 3 on Genesis, my favorite platformers of all time. I have no idea about the release dates though.

Yeah, that hit arcades in the early 70's (72 according to gamefaqs, but I don't know how accurate that is). I thought I was going to show my age by saying Castlevania on the NES (1987), but you've got me beat by more than a decade.

BloodNet from 1993. The cyberpunk with vampires setting is really camp and dated but it takes itself so seriously. It's a pretty interesting RPG in that you start off with most locations unlocked on a map with a few quests open at the start. It has very few filler combat encounters and no "dungeons" but does have some pretty cerebral puzzles. I would like to see a modern game like this but stopped my replay since the UI is awkward and once you get past how different it is to current stuff the setting it is a bit boring. It's like OMG, in the future they have cyberinternetz and all of the street gangs are 3l337 hackers who fight against corporations who are all vampires preying on street culture.

That would probably be Heroes of Might and Magic III from 1999.

No, wait, it's Baldur's Gate from 1998. I didn't finish it though. Getting rolfstomped by every enemy you encounter gets old fast.

Maybe Dragon's Lair which I play every so often, from 1983. I have the DVD but want to buy the PSN version just came out, seems like a huge improvement in every aspect.

At the moment I'm playing FF VII and Zelda:Ocarina of time. I'm too lazy to look up which is older.
