Oldest system you stil play

Nowadays I find myself still playing JRPGs on the good ole PS1. I have a few titles in the backlog I still want to play on this system.

What is the oldest system you still play on a regular basis?

Nintendo 64. I would have said super Nintendo, but it broke, and now I'm sad.

Reality. The game is very hardcore. Everyone who plays it dies no matter what. There is no saving, loading or restarting. Well some gamers believe there is restarting as a different character later in the timeline but then you have amnesia when you begin again (how cliche amnesia) so it really doesn't make a difference. The game is gorgeous and looks very realistic. It is extremely complex. I still have my original Gameboy. The mighty grey brick that just won't die. Though all in all I only pick it up and play with it about once a year nowadays if for no other reason than pointless nostalgia

Yeah, but it has a nine month loading time once you press start and the lag is just horrible in most places...

Actually no, the brain of the character is actually loading at a much faster pace in that time frame than the character later on. Just that that there is so much lag in the intelligence later they have a hard time even noticing how fast paced the early lives of the various players in these games are. =D Just look up a neuroscience or psychological studies of how much the brain grows in a baby and toddler especially when compared to being older. They learn so much more so quickly than we now do. Thus it is our brains suffering from lag and this lag makes it even difficult to realize we are the ones with bad loading times!

I recently got a Super Nintendo but I've been playing the N64 (another recent acquisition) a bit more. I love that thing...damned parents, selling my original consoles and games...I'm getting an NES too soon enough.

quick question: Can a Sega Genesis play Sega Master System games?

Sometimes my N64 too. Only Pokemon Stadium on that though. I wanna play my friends, but I'm the only one who remembers the old rules for gen 1. Fufufufufufu :3

Ah yes, the good ol' Vectrex. I would still play it if it hadn't simply worn itself out due to age.

Seriously though, the Vectrex is awesome.

Does using DOSBox to play old computer games from the early 90's count? If not, then the Nintendo 64 would be my oldest surviving console that I still play.
