This is a poodle

According to this article [http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/howaboutthat/6087174/Poodle-power-dogs-creatively-groomed-to-look-like-pandas-and-camels.html], this is "a poodle that has been hilariously sheared and coloured in the name of art". Hilarious indeed. Why, I bet that all over the world, animal lovers are laughing their socks off at this "work of art" (and you haven't seen the fairy or the camel yet)

So...

Is this the sickest thing you've seen today? Or can you defend the use of dogs as living canvases? (I'd love to see them try that on a cat)

As long as the poodle didn't mind the grooming process, I see nothing wrong here.
I mean, the poodle isn't going to care if it's dressed up as a panda, will it? I don't think so.

I was just on Sankaku Complex forums not an hour ago... so no, this is not the sickest thing I've seen today.

As for the dog... I feel as bad for that animal as I do for any stupidly shaved poodle, those shivering little purse dogs, or any pet forced to wear a "hilarious" little outfit or hat.

Meaning the owner should be slapped...

Well, there is body-painting for humans. However, they have the models' consent.
Doing something like that to an unconsenting aninmal seems unnecessarily cruel, though.

Cutting and dying a dogs hair is sick? Now if this was about dog shows or how inbreeding of the dogs for these shows is having really negative effects on these dogs you might have a point but this? It is weird but you don't hurt a dog by cutting of its hair and as long as you are sensible dying it wont hurt it either.

As long as the dog's happy, I don't much care. Worse things have happened, like when that Spanish prick starved a dog to death in a art museum in the name of art. He was a sick prick who needed to be taught what it feels like to starve to death. These owners just need to be slapped, and groomed until they look like pandas.
