My parents didn't swear around me, really, until I was about 18 and started doing it around them. It was sort of like a weird rite of passage then; like I was deemed mature enough to drop an f-bomb and not get a slap. I think since my Mum's retired she swears a lot more because fuck it: retired, and my Dad swears up a storm on a regular basis.

I've only ever heard my Papa drop f-bombs once, when he thought I wasn't there, it was a strange feeling, because I'd never even seen him angry before that, and my Nana has taken to occasionally saying 'ocht, shite' when she makes a mistake, which is hilarious in her super Scottish accent.

You have to piss of my mother quite a bit before profanity starts pouring forth from betwixt her lips.
My father does so often and for petty reasons.
But my brother is like the Holy Grail of swearing, as he does it often, loudly, entertainingly, and completely regardless of the human anatomy, and sometimes the anatomy of donkeys and camels are involved as well, when discussing the many characters in the Bible.
I'm more restrained, though I do indulge quite profusely from time to time.

My parents tried to teach me not to swear when I was young.
Although they usually told me not to within 10 minutes of before or after them swearing.
So it kinda had the opposite effect.

Mum swears every now and then. On average... once or twice per day.
Dad swears whenever he's drunk or high or angry. So 80% of the time.
I however swear as mush as humanly possible

My Mom swears A LOT.
My Dad almost never swears. Only when something really pisses him off, but that usually tends to just be because of work related stuff so I hardly ever hear him swear when he's around.

Me, I almost never do as well, but like my Dad, only when something/someone pisses me off. Pretty rare considering I am or try to be the most tolerant and happy guy 90% of the time, so something has to really push my buttons to make me throw out F bombs.

I don't think I ever heard my father swear. My Mother swears from time to time but usually only when discussing my Sister.

My Sister says the word "fuck" and the many variations thereof with such frequency that you might be forgiven for believing she was raised to treat it like a punctuation mark.

Not to live up to national stereotypes or anything, but my family and I are all Scottish, so it's fair to say we enjoy a good bit of cursing.

It isn't every second word mind, but they do just get thrown around casually.

I swear a bit around friends, but I'll never swear near a child or in public.

My sister on the other hand, with her 2 year old daughter around, swears like a blue-balled sailor around the house.

Parents swear occasionally, sister all the time, and me about 3 times a sentence. Well, I'm not that bad, but I honestly don't give a fuck about profanity so long as its not intended to insult, so I'll use swear words to add emphasis whenever I feel like it - dependent on the company of course.

My sister only swears when she's really fucking upset. It's always fun to hear since it sounds so weird coming from her. My grandmother has probably never cursed in her entire life, though she did explain to me what "fuck you" ment when I was a little kid. Was a bit awkward.
My mother does it from time to time, but it's mostly just when she's frustrated.

My mom who mainly raised me doesn't swear. The worst she says is 'kauhistuksen kanahäkki', which translates to a 'chicken coop of terror'. And it sounds silly, but since she only used that when something was wrong, it still gives me a scare.
She never had issue in using all kinds of language in a discussion, though.

My grandparents don't really swear either. They use words like 'paska' (shit), or 'neekeri' (******), but not as a profanity but just as a language they use.

My brother and (two) sisters swear occasionally. My parents don't swear. I heard my mum say "Shit!" when a car hit us from behind and I heard my dad say "fuck" and "wanker" when quoting someone, but that's it. I estimate that one in every seventy-five words I use is a swear word, which makes me the biggest potty-mouth in the house. Never felt more proud.

All the time... we're a very bad household for that, quite emotionally abusive all things considered.... Swearing was just a second language in my household, not a good environment to raise kids in

My dad swears occasionally; the bulk of it while watching sports. I swear frequently but not usually in a conversation with any family members that aren't my dad or older brother, and definitely not around my christian sister or her husband simply because I usually can't be bothered dealing with them telling me how it 'offends' them and me telling them to get over it and grow up.

Oh but I swear all the time around my friends; I mean who dosen't.

My mum and dad both swear about the same amount, not in normal conversation, but occasionally when they speak of something which irritates them. My siblings, my younger brother, never, my older brother, behind closed doors. It's basically the same for me. I only really started swearing regularly a couple months ago. Thanks, Borderlands.

As far as I can tell, there's a part of my city that swears like the average person, and another for whom it is casual conversation language. I don't hate them for it, though. I'd be awfully hoity-toity if I did.

I swear a lot, and I don't even notice it. It's just part of how I talk because thats how all of my friends since the first few years of school have talked. I make an effort to keep it down at work or when around my grandparents.

My brother is much like me, but he is younger and swears... Diferently... He is noticably affected by the rampant racist slurs going around in his age group and on XBL, and I always catch him on it when he says something racist or sexist because I know he doesn't feel that way and I don't want it to become part of his regular speech pattern!

My dad only swears when he's properly pissed. Sometimes he'll go "fffff" as he kinda looks around the room to notice who is there, and then he diverts to something else X3.

My dad rarely swears and it's usually at me, my mom has never swore.Closest she's got is a gosh darn. Most of my other family may drop a shit on occasion but that's about it.I still swear like a sailor but I'm trying to stop as I think it is unprofessional and crude.

My dad occasionally does, but very rarely. I don't think I've ever heard my mom swear, I guess I got my I don't care to swear attitude form her since I don't like swearing.

My mother swore quite a lot. Especially during the fall out from her two divorces but she was a high school teacher for almost 15 years and very easily refrains from doing so around polite company. I've heard since the birth of her latest child (my very younger step brother) she's been toning it down but I haven't been home for long enough to know for sure.

My father's always been sort of soft spoken but I have heard him let the profanity fly when he's really mad before.

I for the most part take after my father but I find myself using profanity more often the more excited I am (not necessarily angry)the more colorful my language becomes.

My family is pretty much the same as the OP but in saying so the only time I've heard my dad say "shit" (again the only profanity I had ever heard from him) was back in the takeaway business day when he cock up an order. So far I never once heard my mum swear while my bro only swear when needed to (same as me).
