I think the OP has some very high standards of film, which anything popular from Hollywood really would not match up to. Really, we have to keep in mind that Avatar is a Hollywood-style action film. The genre has never been known for story strength, instead it's been known for heroics and escapism, and both of these qualities the movie does very well. Critically analysing the film like you would an indy or arthouse flick just removes it far away from its actual purpose in being made.

Congrats. + 5 failpoints for the double post, and + 3 for not giving any sort of discussion value.
As for the dp, keyboard went wack on me--sorry to inconveience you.
Buuuut, +4 to you for the irony of posting about a lack of discussion value.
So, would you care to, wait for it...offer some OT discussion value?
Touché. Well, I would have gone on to plant some seeds of discussion, but I had some busywork to attend to.

But the double post is unforgivable.

And it would be hypocrisy, not irony.
Yes, but is hypocrisy not ironic?

I liked Avatar. I thought it was a good film. A bit predictable in some areas but mostly because plots like Avatar have been seen before.

I thought the writing for it was actually quite good. The actors and actresses all did a good job as well.

Yes, but is hypocrisy not ironic?
Yes, at times it is ironic. It also should be expected as well.

Uh no it's not, irony describes an event, hypocrisy describes someone doing what they say shouldn't be done.

Besides, back to your point about my posting about a lack of discussion value, it's the OP's responisiblity to create a discussion. That's why he/she's making a thread.

This has no discussion value, and there isn't even a question for us to answer. What is this I don't even.
LOL!!! No question to answer so no discussion value? LOL!!! Hang on- I'm going to go back to the internet in 1997 to tell them what forum posting becomes 13 years from now.

You absorb what the poster says. You form an opinion. You agree. You disagree. You argue your perspective, support a different one, hit reply and type all that shit up. Or get off the internet.

They didn't build the fucking thing so we could all know in list format what everyone would do in case of a zombie attack.

People now a days are sucked into their god damn gadgets. They go out to socialize in groups, and end up texting each other or playing with "apps" or generally engaging in some other form of high-tech-mental-masturbation.

Is it any wonder that internet posting didn't survive?
