Once in a Lifetime Glitches/Glitches you HAD to be there to see

Fallout 3. Calmly walking around, not doing anything in particular, when all of a sudden the game propels my character in the air like she's got an Ariane rocket lodged in her ass. Stood there for a good while tinking "what the FUCK" while my character kept going up. The game crashed before I could see what would have happened after touchdown (eventually).

Still Fallout 3, while walking around the obelisk I see a weird contraption made of tubes and corpses flying around, twitching and flailing all over the place so fast I couldn't even make out its exact components. Weird...

A glitch in oblivion when my sword was turned into a giant green square with a question mark on it, and I started walin on a monster with it

In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, I was once knocked against a wall with a stack of two boxes next to it, somewhere on the planet with the desert crystals. I got stuck between the boxes and the wall, and was launched through the floor. Then, I fell into and through the running lava below, into a white void which I also fell through into an orange void which I then hit the bottom of and sank to death as if it were quicksand.

In Assassin's Creed, I glitched about a mile up, I could see the other two cities, and I fell for about two minutes INTO A HAY BARREL. I SURVIVED.

Or in Mirror's Edge, where I flying dragon kicked a swat cop and he flew thirty feet through a pane of glass without breaking it.

I was playing Condemned 2: Bloodshot once in FPS mode. I am getting to the part in the museum where a thief is all geared up in a full suit of armor and huge battle axe. I run, obviously, and go across the bridge slowly. I see two security guards run toward me as I cross and they're followed by none-other than the thief. The weird part was the thief was following me across and collapsed the bridge behind me. The thief ends up killing me and the guards. I have no clue what happened.

Another time I am playing Bloodshot Fight Club on Lockdown and I died. I restart and for some reason I can't do melee attacks. I picked up a shotgun and shot it just fine. (It's the same button to shoot and to swing) but I can't punch or swing a weapon. Obviously, I die.

I was playing Timesplitters 2 on PS2 on Frenzy difficulty with my two friends and we were getting our asses kicked. WE then decided to have a suicede contest to see who could lose the most points. Bot #4 won with -4,632 points. I had -62. Apparently, the bots caught on to our little game and despite that we died within 2 seconds of each spawn, they died MANY times faster. Damn bots beat me at everything.

I was playing a game of Deathmatch in Gears of War and someone bitchsmacked someon playing as Cole to death. The physics engine goes completely nuts and the body goes flying into the air. The head of the body then hits a lamp post and get stuck, leaving the rest of the body dangling. Everybody stopped killing eachother and gather around the body to take a look.

Sure, if it was anybody it would have been quite funny, but the fact it was Cole just made it all the funnier.

Saints Row 2, the 'roided up guys in the fuzz mission hit me into a car when I just got out of it, causing my ragdoll to fly like a superman, and while in mid-air, I died.

I was playing HL2, and it glitched in two Alyxs. One of them was talking to me from a loudspeaker from a control room, and one was following me. It was a huge 'wtf' moment.

that happened to me too plus when that happens its impossible to reach the next level since the real alyx never comes out of the vent i had to use console commands to reach the next level

An old glitch in Halo 1.

On blood gulch, theres a cave where you drive into with a 'hog, and straight into an indent in a wall, you then stood on a turret, lobbed a plasma at the front of the hog, then a frag, then shot both grenades with a rocket, if it worked you glitched through the ceiling and got to a sweeet sniping spot.

Yup, yet another two from me, this time both on two nice indie games made by our very own foulmouthed game critic, Yhatzee.

The first one was 7 Days a Skeptic. Ill have to put this in a spoiler box, because this happens at the end of the game.

Basically, I was being chased by The Welder (basically this game's Jason Vorhees), and right at the end of the chase, there's this bit where you go out into space, and he gets pulled out with you.
If you're too close to The Welder when you open the door, this happens.

Secondly, on 1213 episode 2, when i did a running jump out of the elvator shaft, 1213 suddenly grabbed onto an invisible platform and rocketed across 5 screens at running speed, while holding onto nothing. He eventually fell and took minor damage back at the start of the epidsode.

not a glitch, but still epic and unintentional,
i fired my semi-auto shotty in Bad company at a sprinting sniper about 120m away, because shotguns in this game don't have bullshit disappearing bullets, to try to scare/soften/alert teammates to him, and i killed him WITH A HEADSHOT.

I was shooting this gun, I blew his head off, unfortunately the game glitched and I blew his head off...3 times...at once...with one kill....the hell?

That's not a glitch. If you're using VATS and blow someones head off, it'll often replay the event from different camera angles.

Two Worlds. The game was hyped to be so awesome, like Oblivion with multiplayer. Then I get the game home and it sucks, like really really bad. It was a weird glitch.

I've come across a few in Fallout 3. One time while wandering around Georgetown I came across the guts of a wastelander floating in midair. It was weird. It was like the guy had fallen over, but some of his guts hadn't fallen with him so they stayed floating there just as they would be lined up in the body, there were his eyes, two bloody arms and some fleshy remains of a skull. Creepy.

Also in Point Lookout, I saw a baby carriage floating about 100 or so feet in the air for no apparent reason. Don't know how that got up there, I had gone back to the Capital Wasteland, came back, and there it was.

I can't remember many once in a lifetime ones, but I am rather fond of the way that in Saint's Row 2 you sometimes plant your car into the ground.
