Lets see if anyone else remembers Nightmare. It was sort of like The Crystal Maze for kids. Better yet, anyone remember The Crystal Maze back when Richard O'Brian was host, with his dear "mumsy" locked in that little room haha.
It was actually called Knightmare ;)

I remember The Demon Headmaster, freaked me out quite a bit.

Wasn't The Queen's Nose about a coin that grants wishes or something? If so then yes I've seen that.

Reading this is fun. My Dad worked on half of these programs. Queen's nose is undoubtablely the true embodiment of evil. It's worse than Twilight and Justin Bieber combined.

I have very fond memories of fast-forwarding through both the first 2 get get to some other show I had recorded. I have no clue wtf Aquilla was on about, and by the time I realised I was kind of too old for it.

So I've been bugged for the last half month because I suddenly had some very vivid memories from my childhood, specifically four television series I used to watch. Two were easy to remember, and are still quite famous today, the other two were only shown at school, because they were educational programs, and were much harder to find nowadays.

1. The Demon Headmaster
2. The Queen's Nose
3. Through the Dragon's Eye
4. Spywatch

I'm not even sure if most of the escapists here would be old enough to remember the intial showings of any of these programs, but I'm told they have been rebroadcast every so often, presumably because they represent some great nostalgic moment for British kids.

Did you watch these? Can you remember them? Are there other shows from your childhood you want to talk about? Let's get nostalgic for some of the badly acted, under-funded, absolutely brilliant shows of our childhoods.

To anyone not British, feel free to reminisce about something similar from American schools or mid-90s children's TV shows.

Also, if you weren't the right age (I'd guess you'd have to be over 18 to have watched these the first time round), what did you watch at primary school that stuck with you?
Holy crap! I remember Spywatch!. We watched it in Primary school for some reason. I think we had the booklets for the show and did work on it. There were a few other series but the only one I remember the name of is Geordie Racer (or something - it was about this boy who trains/breeds racing pigeons).

I remeber Spywatch. I cannot remeber ANYTHING about it though, just the name. My primary school had video tapes of it and when ever they put it on I tuned out and got some shut eye.

I remember the first 2. The title sequence of the kaleidoscope in the Queen's Nose used to make me feel ill :(

Anyone remember Aquila? It was about 2 kids who found some alien-super-time-travelling-thing that could go invisible.
Holy shit! Aqulia! i remember Watching that! thank you very much sir for jolting my memory. I totally forgot about that show.
You can still watch it. YES. YES. YES.

It was half of my reasons for wanting to learn Latin. The other was Latin mass.

I don't know if it's still being shown and I think this goes back further but who remembers Brum?
I do I do!!! I have a model of him on my bookshelf :)
Thank god I'm not alone. My love for Brum was endless but then this happened to it.

(Before) All was well and I was happy. Good ol' Brum

(After) They then took away Brum's fuel and replaced it with pure LSD. Honestly when I saw this I cried a little inside.

And now I'e just thought of another one. It was called "The little red trator" Today it is now in aweful 3D but back in the day (god I'm only 16) it was a fantastic 2D cartoon and I watched it all the time.
Watched the first one, i was like OMG!

Watched the second one, and im ashamed to say i danced to the full thing =\

Anyone Remember these?

I think this replaced Brum... god help kids today...

My personal favourite kids' shows were 50/50, Get Your Own Back, Stupid and THE BASIL BRUSH SHOW.

Personally I didn't think much of the Queen's Nose but then again I always was a strange child.

Oh god so many memories brought back. I used to love Demon Headmaster and Queen's Nose. The other two I don't know but pretty much everything else that's been mentioned I used to watch. Man I spent way too much time watching TV as a kid...

I can remember the top three for sure, and I think I remember the 4th... Wasn't it a Look & Read series like Through The Dragon's Eye?

Time for a quick age check of my own... Does anyone remember 'Tugs'?

something about people who can change into animals (not its name)
Animorphs I believe. A group of kids who could turn into animals that they had touched but they had a time limit or they would get stuck. I think one of them did, but could still morph. There was also a book series.

I remember watching most of the stuff on that list of yours though, I never seemed to be able to watch two consecutive episodes though because of my parents, I grew up watching these alongside stuff like The A-team and StarTrek. My childhood sucked a bit when it came to kiddy shows.

I remember the Demon Headmaster and the Queens nose really well and through the dragons eye somewhat.

Other Programes were Nightmare and the original Bernards watch as well as 50/50 and get your own back and gladiators "Awooggga!" lol.

Fireman Sam and Postman pat as well.

I was going to bring up Knightmare but got ninja'd, heh. Anyone remember The Tomorrow People? It was about people who could teleport or something, I don't remember too well... I do recall watching it as a child though.

Bloody hell... I'll be the first to admit to being old (EDIT: okay, someone else ninja'd me while I was typing). I remember the first three very clearly. Just looked up Spywatch, apparently that was a fair bit later, didn't start airing until I was half way through secondary school so I wouldn't have been the target audience.

Through The Dragon's Eye seriously freaked me out as a kid... just thinking about it in this post has brought the theme song back into my mind. Must've been 1991 when I watched it first time around, but I saw the whole series again about ten years later. It's not a bad story for something that's designed to help primary school kids read. Didn't see much of The Demon Headmaster, but The Queen's Nose was good (as was the book it was based on).

...Geordie Racer, anyone?
I thought I was the only person in the world to remember it. If only because of that damned theme tune.
