Thank god I'm not alone. My love for Brum was endless but then this happened to it.
(Before) All was well and I was happy. Good ol' Brum
(After) They then took away Brum's fuel and replaced it with pure LSD. Honestly when I saw this I cried a little inside.
And now I'e just thought of another one. It was called "The little red trator" Today it is now in aweful 3D but back in the day (god I'm only 16) it was a fantastic 2D cartoon and I watched it all the time.
they replased brum(i love that little car) with new brum, which was rubbish in comparison then ditched it and made rory the racing car.
they replaced thomas the tank engine with underground ERnie, which isnt to bad and chugington
they gave postman pat a cgi makeover and gave him a helicopter and they murdered fireman Sam,
I remember The Demon Headmaster and The Queen's Nose, but I didn't really watch them as I was about 16 at the time.
The most memorable, and haunting TV programmes from my childhood were:
There's a couple more that I can't remember the the name's of, but I can vaguely remember the plots and still have vague, haunting memories of.
One was about a girl who went to live with a relative (I think) by the sea, and there was a ghost of a Pirate or ship's Captain which was tied to an object, I think it was an old clock or a ship's bell... I also seem to remember the sound of bells being significant and overall it was very creepy from what I remember.
The other one I have vague memories of was about a group of kids who went on holiday(?) to some old Edwardian mansion, and there were some mysterious and creepy goings on connected to some old standing stones, and I think there was some kind of connection to Giants and other Celtic mythology... I think they may have also travelled to another world or point in time.
I also seem to remember one about alien invasion and a school, that may have been part of the storyline to The Girl From Tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure it was something else.
However, there were quite a few weird, wonderful and creepy children's dramas shown on the BBC during the 80's and early 90's, so I could easily be mixing the memories of a few different programmes into one programme that never existed.
I think I do. All I remember were these two cow shaped characters that talked, and one hell of a theme tune. (I think it's still played on Norwegian TV althouhgh the last time I watched it was probably about 2 years ago. It made no sence to me but it was nice to watch it and good to know that they weren't spoon feeding the kids the crap that we are nowerdays.)

That, replaced Brum. This kind of thing makes me so very very sad. Before I have kids (if I do) I must make sure to have the complete DVD of Brum, Pippin come outside, Bernerd's watch and other shows from my time just so my kids don't turn out to be too braindead when they grow up. Still this makes me wonder. Give it another 10 years what will they replace all this crap with. Can it get worse? I dread to think.
And now I have just remembered another show. I can't remember what it was called but it was about these 2 kids (a boy and a girl) they get absorbed or transported into a computer while playing a game on it. They find themselves in the game world and have to complete the game to get out. While the evil boss tries to stop them they run into this blue bug looking creature (I think he may have been called Flick/Phlick/Phlik?) which helps them on the journey. Also they have to be careful of people on the outside world like their teachers and class mates from playing the game or turning off the computer while they are inside. Quite an educational programme aimed for school kids. I was shown it when I was in year 3 which is about 8-9 years ago. Anyone got any ideas as to what it might be?
I'm Mexican, and the shows that stayed with me was Gundam Wing, although the only episodes aired were the first 4. After that it didn't came again. Also Power Rangers The Lost Galaxy is probably the best PR series until now, I do have great memories about it, as I grew up with it. Sadly it never aired again and it was replaced by a crappy PR another series.
Mexico doesn't has any self produced series, so that's why I said an anime.
I have very fond memories of fast-forwarding through both the first 2 get get to some other show I had recorded. I have no clue wtf Aquilla was on about, and by the time I realised I was kind of too old for it.
