Well... You can play adventure games, puzzle games, stuff like that.
Try Walking dead anf old Lucas Arts adventure games, like Sam and Max.

Maybe you can try playing MOBA's too.

i used to play Endwar when I broke my hand.
You know the RTS with the spoken voice commands.

It was quite fun

Most 2D turn based RPGs from indie companies like Amaranth Games or Aldorlera work with just mouse or keyboard. There's also the old Point & Click Adventure games, like King's Quest (or the remakes) & possibly anything by Telltale Games.

Kamidori Alchemy Meister, it's basically a blend of Fire Emblem strategy, Recettear shopkeeping and fantasy VN.
And around 20 hours in, it starts with the H-Scenes, so it doubly qualifies.
It can be a hassle to setup, though.

Hm, it would probably be annoying, but Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game you can definitely play 1 handed. The Civilization series are also great and can be done with one hand, as well of the Heroes of Might and magic series.

If you're into card games Duel of the planeswalkers can also be done easily with 1 hand, um....maybe Plants vs Zombies, various poker games, angry birds, etc etc. Wish you luck and a speedy recovery. :)

Any turn-based RPG will do.

Kirby's Air Ride was practically made to be played with one hand.

Mouse-driven games like Civ V are good too.

So long story short, my hand is busted up from a ton of broken glass. Gotta be bandaged up and I'm sure I don't need to elaborate that it's kinda sensitive for now.

Apart from one drawback that I'm sure the male Escapee's will sympathise with, another downside is that typing, or more importantly, gaming, is damn near impossible to do with any speed.

As a result, I'm making do with games that I can take my time with, or simply play with one hand. This leaves me mostly with casuals and turn based strategies. So any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Once again I'll recommend Knights of Honor, it's a slow paced RTS /medieval simulator. It's all in real time, but all the actions there are slow-going, so you don't need to memorize tons of hotkeys and it's pretty good if you like medieval kingdom simulations.

Other than that, Legend of Grimrock can be played with one hand, as far as I'm aware and Age f Empires 1/2/3 can be beaten with mouse only even on higher dificulties.

If you have an N64 and any racing game that can bind gas to the Z button, pretty much now is the moment you've been waiting for- it's the one thing that blasted controller is good for, aside from slaying Aquaman's foes.

Turn-based RPGs or point-and-click games. In fact, any game which uses either the mouse OR the keyboard, not a combination of the two. You could also play MOBAs, but you'd be a bit slow without hotkeys.
I suppose you could also try using your mouse with a foot, and use the keyboard with your good hand, if you really wanted to play a game which uses KB&M.

If you haven't played The Walking Dead, you can play through the all 5 chapters while your hand heals. It's a point and click style adventure game.

A friend of mine lost his right arm at the shoulder at age 12. He beats me in a whole lot of games on Ps3. Those controllers can be used onehanded with some training. Put it on your leg, use the base of your palm to move the left thumbstick and you're set to go from there.
Also speedpads.

Most turn-based RPGs would be a good choice (like Pokemon and Final Fantasy X).

Like someone else said, if put on the easiest mode, Bayonetta was actually marketed that it could be played one-handed.

If you're dexterous, I think that you might be able to play some of the Katamari games. Since they only use the two analog sticks, if you can work them with your fingers, you wouldn't need to use the buttons at all.

There's a couple rail shooters on the Wii you could try (like House of the Dead: Overkill).

If you like retro skill based games both Lesbian Spider Queens of Mars and Super Hexagon are one handed, so is Canabalt.

When I rested my hand for a period of time due to a RSI I mostly played mouse driven games and turn based JRPGs.

Also since it was my right hand that was injured I played simple 1 or 2 button games by remapping to the left triggers.

I wonder if other old shooters can be played like that too... like doom.
It can! I've got a one handed friend that binds everything around the arrow keys. Vertical aiming is all handled automatically since the game isn't true 3D. Not a whole ton of real action games that can be done single handed.

Just make sure you're using a good source port, and not the hideously broken version that is included in the D3:BFG edition. They seriously use the D3 key bindings in D1 and D2. You have to edit the controls for D3 to change the older game controls!
A lot of these games didn't even use mouse when they came out so i fugured as much :)

I would say just about any turn based RPGs, as long as they're not timed. If you can take as much time as you need then that is perfect for your situation.

Torchlight and Torchlight 2 can be played one handed with a mouse - depending on player skill at lower difficulties or even medium, can even change a few needed buttons to whatever's easy to tap with your thumb while leaving your hand on the mouse

Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu saves the World - change the keys so they are all in one location, comfortable for you hand, and done, it's how I played, laid back, relaxed, everything set to the numpad and arrow keys

I THINK, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and 2 can be easily played single handed. You can pause combat at any point with a single click, attack with a single click, heal, ect. The only thing I'm not sure of would be movement but I think you can change that for ease.

X-Com - Ufo Defense, Terror From The Deep, Apocalypse, Enemy Unknown - all can be played with just the mouse with ease.

Point and Click adventure games
Many turn based games
I think Lego games can be played one handed, all you need is direction keys, attack, jump, special, and change - I play those with controllers though, so I'm not sure how easy to use with a keyboard they'd be. but, Lego Batman and Lego Batman 2 are both fun games.
