So long story short. I broke my right (dominant) arm.

Does anyone have any suggestions for games I can play with just my left hand?

Obviously strategy and turn based roleplaying would be high on that list. Some fun little plat formers would be nice too. If you think it can be played well one handed please mention it.

Civ5 has been getting a workout, but looking for something more.

Oh, god... expect jokes. I think you know what jokes.

Anyway, Pokemon. Definitely Pokemon.

Try some classic RPGs? I've been replaying Baldur's Gate 2, and all you need for that is the mouse and space bar, and you can probably rebind the space bar to an extra mouse button.

You need two hands for that.

Think about it.

OT: tower defense games, adventure games, puzzle games.

Insert obvious joke here.

OT: Most adventure games are like this, although the genre as a whole is a bit dated.

As someone above said, old CRPG's could work. Most are really only playable through "pause and play" (you pause the game, give everyone orders, then unpause to see how it all works out). Dragon Age: Origins is a modern-day version of that gameplay style (or so from what I have heard. I only played the gimped X-Box 360 port), so that might be worth a look. JRPG's with turn-based battle systems could work pretty well also. All one has to do is mover around the environment and select orders during battle, both of which can be done easily with one hand (my personal recommendations here are Persona 3: FES and Persona 4, but others might have some ideas as well). Also, I recommended looking into some Wii games. Many of them can only be played with one hand as well.

Yeah defiantly Pokemon. Advanced wars is pretty damn good, a decent turn based combat game. There's a few for DS and GBA, defiantly worth a look.

Plants vs. Zombies, Peggle, and probably everything else ever developed by PopCap.

Check out Frozen Synapse on Steam.

So, funny story. I read a story once about a guy who broke his hand also, and he was an avid WoW player who played a Death Knight. So, since his hand was broken, but he wanted to raid, he wrote a macro for his Death Knight that would cast each spell in his rotation and them reset. Then he bound the macro to Scroll Wheel up on his mouse.

So, of course I had to try it on my DK, and wouldn't you know it but it worked like a charm?

Porn games work...
What? They're obviously designed for playing with one hand!
(First one to actually make the joke)

Could you not adopt an interesting new way to play with a controller/use your keyboard and mouse? When I broke my arm the cast I had kept my fingers in a useful "trigger pulling" shape, so I was still able to play my Xbox with both hands.

Turn-based RPGs, RTS games, Dragon Age: Origins, The Spirit Engine 2 (free!), Bayonetta (for obvious reasons), and Canabalt.

If you happen to have an SNES, and you can find a copy, Earthbound specifically had a few options so people could play the game with one hand. Use Select to check your stats, L to talk to people, check objects and select menu options, and A to open the full-on menu when you absolutely need it. Simple, right? Now all you have to do is get the game.

You can actually play Dungeon Siege 3 with one hand.

The demo is on Steam. I didn't like it, but I did play it with only one hand so it's right up your alley.

Apparently pre ordering it gets you Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 also, so you'd have three games to play with one hand i guess.

Most (all?) Suikoden games have button layouts that allow you to play with one hand.
