I would love that, not just because of the actor, but because this would make Dark Knight even more clever.

And that would be cool.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I'd be very, very impressed with Mr. Nolan's foresight if it turned out to be the case. I'm not wild about Riddler as a villain, as I kind of place him somewhere near the bottom of the tier list, along with Killer Moth, Joe Chill and other essentially harmless "villains", but this could be very interesting.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but I swear there was a version of that scene where the Joker left a grenade in that guy's mouth instead of a gas canister.

A good theory, but I'm still hoping for David Tennant.

That would ruin it.

Because every time i see him, i think of that redicoulous and cheesy doctor who series, and i dont really think Tennant is that strong an actor, but i could be wrong.

Personally, I think Tennant would be a phenomenal Riddler. If he proved anything as the Doctor, it was that he was really good at being an over-the-top, larger-than-life character, which I think is what The Riddler needs to be. Plus, the Riddler is kind of a cheesy character, so I think it would fit perfectly. (Don't get me wrong, the Riddler is my favorite Batman villian. But he is cheesy).

Plus, I adore Doctor Who and thought David Tennant did a fantastic job. I think he's proven time and again in the show that he's a strong enough actor, and being The Riddler would prove it to a larger audience.

I'm with this. He could really take a dark turn on this. For some reason, I envision him as Brendan Block from Secret Smile.
