I ask this here because it seems like alot of the forum people here are in college or going to be in college so hopefully few of you might be able to help me out.

Met this girl about 3-4 weeks ago at a party and we immediately clicked. She gave me her number and few days later I called her and we pretty much ended up talking for 8 hours and even more so the days following. I told her I liked her and she said shes likes me too, so I thought why not, I should try and get together with her...well problem is shes going to college in another state. It is about a 10-12 hour drive there which I am willing to take. I asked her tonight if she was dating anyone and she replied no, I have been trying to stay single to keep goodbyes easy as possible. I haven't replied back to her yet because I have been arguing with myself if I should just give up or try and push for it. In my mind I am leaning towards go for it, because I think we could make it work over the summer and figure it all out, or am I just deludeding myself? I absolutely adore her, but haven't told her that.

What do you guys/gals think? Try or no try?
Don't apologise, just use the correct thread. ----> http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.117161 <----

Next week on "Max's words of wisdom"...
I agree, it's not like you're going to lose out on anything other than money for transportation which could equally be spent on things like food...or games...or porn. Go for it.
I don't think he would need the porn if all goes well.

Who needs girls when you have games? Games are always there.. Games will never say no.. They'll never lie to you, cheat on you, or kick you in the balls, and they provide just as much, if not more enjoyment then a girl does.. seriously, your young, treasure that, don't waste your time travelling half a day for something that's harder then it's suppose to be.

You haven't played the Japanese version of Mario 2 have you?, that game wants nothing else but to see you and your family suffer.

Oh and whatever you do, don't tell her that you're getting relationship advice from a gaming website forum... Chicks do not dig that.
LOL,

"I wasn't gonna date you but some dudes on a website convinced me to ask you out"

depends, do you love the girl?

if you do NEVER GIVE UP. EVER.

if you just like her a lot. might not be worth ruining the year trying to make something work cross country.

Go for it! Long distance relationships are very hard, but they are not impossible.

Well if you are sorry in advance then don't make these damn threads.
I am going to tell you the same thing I am going to every idiot that comes onto a fucking gaming forum for relationship advice. A place where like 90% of the population have never even kissed a girl.

(Sorry in advance)

You're not good enough for her. You are not man enough. If you were you would have found your testicles and fucking gone for it already. As you have not you have proven you are a waste of her time. Even if now you did find your balls she may, may agree to "date" you but as she is 10-12 hours away she will just be banging every jock on campus while you "wait for her". -.-;

Seriously? What is it with this place? Is originality and creativity frowned upon now? Did I miss something that says we have to repost the same crappy topics every single freaking week?
I swear, I miss the zombie survival threads compared to all these relationship ones.
Last time I checked, this was the off topic discussion board. We can discuss anything here. So your argument against posting this here is moot. These crop up from time to time, but you can't honestly call all of them the same since they came from different people in different sets of circumstances. If you don't like them, ignore them. There is nothing here that forced you to post here.

If you don't have anything constructive to post, then don't post at all. You're certainly not acting like a man by only tossing insults and negativity.

Go for it, but be forewarned. Long distances really strain the shit out of relationships, so you'd better be sure you really care about each other. Trust and frequent communication are key, but even with these, they often fail anyway due to just never being there with each other that often.

Only an idiot wouldn't thing this thing through lol. He's asking for simple input. You have obviously never had this type of thing happen and shouldn't be giving input at all.
