I'm looking for a good action rpg esque game for my Nintendo DS.
Lately I've been playing Destinia on my Android Phone and to my surprise I quite like it. Combat is fast and there's lots of loot - it does get a bit repetitious however, which made me look for a more fleshed out game for the DS
I've narrowed my search, somewhat, down to one of the following;
Zelda: Spirit Tracks - I played Phantom Hourglass and LOVED it. Spirit Tracks seems like it will (just?) be more of the same. The thing that puts me off is the combat. In PH it was really easy and the puzzles and exploration made the game for me.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - This is definately action oriented, but does it have loot, skill progression etc.? I almost ordered this today, so it's pretty high on the list.
Okamiden - not sure it really falls into the action rpg category, but I never played Okami for the Wii even tho I always wanted too. This might be too cute of a game tho.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies - This looks really, really good, but I'm put off by the turnbased combat. I'm concerned that I'll find it extremely boring, but apart from that it looks really awesome.
Avalon Code - This sounds very fun and interesting, but several reviews say that the controls and navigation of the book is really cumbersome. I might be reading too much into it?
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days - Hard to put my finger on, but this looks cool. Action rpg with non turn based combat. Disney characters I'm not so sure about tho.
The World Ends with You - This has gotten alot of good review and just sounds like a must play when people mention it.
Basically, if I could get Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age, The Wither, Baldur's Gate, Arcanum or something along those lines I'd be happy
Dawn of Sorrow tho...it just looks kickass and I never played anything Castlevania apart from Lords of Shadow which I'm playing on the 360 atm.
My thanks in advance to anyone who would like to share their views on those games, or suggest some of their own
