Well the genre is progressive death metal, but making me pick not only 1 band, but only 1 song as well is torture. I'm split between Meshuggah, Gojira, Dream Theater and Opeth but since Opeth has been used by the OP I wont use them. And Dream Theater is extremely popular so I'm sure they'll pop up in some one's post so my decision is:
Such an amazing song and the 2nd progressive metal song I'd ever heard. It was either this or Bleed by Meshuggah (my 1st prog metal song that got me enthralled by the genre)

I guess this is an alternative pop, but I'd pick this song to represent good music in general.

Uzbekistan progressive classical speed pop pan-flute music with blues, jazz and bluegrass elements over a hardcore electropunk background.

I'm not quite sure which genre this belongs to. I asked Wikipedia and it listed nine different genres, I guess J-rock would be the best one to describe it.

Oooooooh, great selection of the Modernists and Romantics.
I like Baroque myself, too.

I would choose Hysteria by MUSE. Nobody can deny that that is one awesome tune. The guitar is the best I've heard in a rock band of this generation.

(I'm sorry I cant actually link this to the track, It's just that I'm a total computard and I don't know how to do it.)
