It ain't much now but sooner or later women will have to be extra cautious when entering the change room!

[small]Sounds like this is some way from being a reality[/small]
I didn't want to say it, but I had to. Shame though, the possibilities are endless...

Honestly as much as I would love to become invisable I really think it would lead to nothing but bad bad things...with bad bad men...like myself. And dont you look at me like that, you know you thought it.

Great, make it work at macroscopic levels and with visible wavelengths and you got yourself some voyeurism. Imagine the possibilities and pranks you could do.

If true invisibility can be obtained, the cloaked person in question would be blind, because no light would be hitting their retinas.

This does sound kinda cool, though. I mean, the object doesn't have to be a person. Just think of all the military or entertainment applications...

I remember reading an interview with a leading developer of an invisibility jacket, when asked whether he thought time travel would be possible in the future he responded "of course", when they proceeded to ask him that if that were the case, why have we not yet met any time travlers? He replied "Because they will most likely have developed perfect invisibility by then".
I just thought I'd share that, I remember it really made me think about the future, and also caused me to do a search of my room for any cloaked time travelers, this stuff excites me.

Kekekeke.

I've always been drawn to "realistic sci-fi". As many people here might already know, I'm a major fan of Michael Crichton. In just about every sci-fi form of media he wrote, he always has an explanation for what he imagines and leaves nothing to magic.

Hell yeah... but the explosives can always blow up in your face.

Would be amazing if they could develop this, however wars would get much more confusing.
