Only 151?

I loved my team of typlosion, steelix, lugia, skamory, dragonite and raikou. So 2nd generation is my favourite.

Also, how about a new fire starter that isn't a fighting subtype? There's been fire/flying, Fire, and then two consecutive fire/fighting.

Pfft. Chinchou is Water/Electric. Lotad is Water/Grass. There are numerous Water/ rock types. Frankly, I'm surprised there isn't one already. It seems the counter combinations are all the type they really have left.

What about a Fire/Dark or a Fire/Ghost starter? Those would work. I would love to see a Fire/Ghost pokemon.

Could also be Fire/Grass, although you figure it would kill itself as the only idea I can picture for this would be an Oddish on fire.

For balance's sake. It wouldn't really be a fun game if all you did was send out Chuck Norris and never had to worry about gym battles or anything.

I like to fight an uphill battle in my games.

Well after Ruby and Sapphire, the new Pokemon are just, to put it simply... Crap. I hope that the person/people who thought up Bidoof and Beweazel was/were fired. The original games just had a brilliant charm to them which the new games just don't have. Perhaps it was the reflected awesomeness of the original GameBoy and the GameBoy Colour.

The new gen was particularly diappointing when I first saw it, but there were a few I liked, and now the whole bunch (bar a few, but it happens every gen) have grown on me a bit.

They just don't seem as well designed to be honest. They're not as charming as the 1st and 2nd generation.

Plus catching them all is just a ***** especially since some you can only get at events, by trading, getting both game versions, catching the roaming legendaries etc. In a few years time when the 10th Pokemon generation comes out people will have to dedicate a decade of their life trying to get them all, by which point there's around 200 more.

I don't hate them. I hate angry internet people yelling at Pokemon because they perceive the franchise as corrupting their ideal memory because they are changing it and not letting it stagnate. Nostalgia makes a person act like an idiot by wanting to preserve things and let them stay the same forever but things change, and no one can stop it. Your childhood is dead, live with it!

Torterra Has a large tree and some mini-mountains on it's back, I think it's actually kind of cool

To each is own I didn't like toreta but I did like Infernap and Empoleon
