So, I've been playing the new New Vegas DLC, and so far I really like it. It's pretty light on story, and more about exploration, which is a nice contrast to Dead Money (which I also really liked). I think the whole area is incredibly good looking (easily better than anything in the Mojave or Capital Wasteland), and I do like exploring it. Haven't gotten a whole lot of the new weapons, though I do like the .45 Auto Pistol. It will probably be a weapon I use most of the time.

What do you guys think of it? I haven't seen much in the way of comments or reviews about it.

Also, have any of you guys found some of the survivors journals in some of the caves?

I haven't played it, but is this DLC the equivalent to Point Lookout in Fallout 3? In terms of offering a large new area to play in?

I like Honest Hearts a lot more than Dead Money. The sandbox gameplay really helps, but the one thing that makes me mad is the fact that once you complete the main story, it's over. You can't do anymore quests in Zion. I think I finished most of them, but I'm a completionist. Although the fact that you can return whenever you want does sort of make up for that shortfall.

Zion isn't Point Lookout huge, but you'll get lost in the fact that it looks amazing. The dynamic weather changes are a nice touch.

Yeah, but it's smaller than Point Lookout, but there's many secret caves and such to explore. There's alot of different levels on the maps too, there are paths that take you higher or lower that lead to different areas.

I'd say there's more locations though, although they're smaller than the ones were in Point Lookout for the most part.

Needs better weapons. Non-guns users pretty much get screwed over in terms of new equipment.

I thought it was pretty good. The main story was good, but to me it felt a bit short. The burned man was awesome and Zion was fun and frustrating to explore. Though it needed better weapons.

I really liked it. The Burned Man was sort of a letdown. Not an ounce as epic as the legends say, but I guess that's true of most legends.

The terrain was something I loved. It wasn't a marvel to behold or anything (not to say it's ugly either. It's beautiful at times, and I always stopped to admire the tribal paintings), but it just felt like it was laid out very well. Adding in rain was a great touch. As for the loot...the .45 Autos are very nice (especially silenced), but the weapons are kind of ho-hum other than that. You do get a good bit of really nice armor at the end, though.

I love Honest Hearts infinitely more than Dead Money, which was a chore and an annoyance.

Edit: And I got a chuckle out of "They probably think that Mary is the mother and Jesus is the child"

I'm glad there's a useful unique version of the Service Rifle, because I liked that gun but it kinda sucked.
